By far the worst episode of the season. To me it's obvious Karen will interview for the job in New York and get it.
weird nobody here likes it. the few people i talked to really loved it, though it was mostly because of the whole pam thing. i thought it was pretty good, about as funny as the last two, but not great. andy in the water was awesome as was creed and the fish. i just want the jim/pam/karen storyline to be over. apparently karen is going to be back next season so i really have no idea what they're doing. it's possible jim gets the corporate job but then we're back to the beginning of season 3, so that just seems like a dumb route also. jim and pam are both great characters and a lot of good moments in the office involve them interacting. not in a relationship way but they play off each other well. their best bet is to get jim and pam together to stop focusing on this tired a$$ will they/won't they storyline and have them interact like they did before. they were practically dating before they were dating. getting them together "officially" doesn't mean they have to be cuddling in the break room 15 minutes an episode. i think because the office is mainly focused in a somewhat work environment, they can pull off this relationship without ruining the show. dragging this thing out even longer is going to do more to ruin it.
Good news for Office fans: The network is sticking with its Thursday night comedy bloc, and giving a large 30-episode order to its most successful sitcom, "The Office." Turning to another critically acclaimed workplace comedy from Britain, NBC also plans a midseason launch of a sitcom called "The IT Crowd," about a pair of socially inept computer technicians. http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSN1020337320070515?pageNumber=2
It was an ok episode...The finale is this Thursday but it'll be another Jim & Pam love cliff hanger... Pam just needs to get nekkid...
The ultimate would be Pam getting drunk and sleeping with Toby, who has been wanting to jump her forever.
I've gone on a 10 day, 51 episode splurge... Never having seen the show before, I finally decided to pull out the season 1 disc of the office I had and start watching. Started off REALLY slow...but by episode 5, I was hooked. Lord, beer me strength. I can't wait til I get home tomorrow to watch the season finale.
ahahha that'd be awesome. but overall, pretty ugly episode last week considering the build-up over the last few weeks. Should make the finale seem even better
Holy Crap! http://www.nbc5i.com/entertainment/13338479/detail.html?dl=mainclick The Office" star Jenna Fischer has suffered four fractures in her back after a fall down some steps at a New York City nightclub, according to the New York Daily News. The News reported that Fischer fell down steps at Buddakan during an "upfront" party -- an event where networks showcase their television shows for the upcoming fall season -- on Tuesday. Fischer was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital, where she and her husband, actor-screenwriter James Gunn, spent the night. The actress' spokesperson told the News that the actress "avoided anything scary near the spine" and is expected to make a full recovery before the "The Office" begins shooting its fourth season this summer. Fischer, 33, plays the dowdy secretary, Pam, in the hit sitcom. She also recently starred opposite Will Ferrell and Jon Heder in the ice-skating comedy hit "Blades of Glory." She has also been featured on guest spots on "That 70s Show," "Cold Case" and "Six Feet Under." That sux, I wonder if she was f'n drunk...I didn't know she was on six feet under...I can't wait for tonight...
As someone who lives in NYC and has been drunk at Buddakan, I can testify that that **** is steep and would be a definite drunk hazard. Wait. She's married?
Pretty decent finale. It seemed kind of drawn out (especially in the beginning), and didn't have any really big laughs (except for that tag with Ryan), but I like how they wrapped up the Jim/Pam storyline. They waited long enough to give their relationship some meaning, but not too long to draw it out. The show had a 6 episode season one, and then two full seasons until they finished up the "will they/won't they". Other shows have been much worse. Now as long as they don't slide into a break-up/make-up cycle, the show will be fine. I'm with BigM's post on this. Jim/Pam acted like a de facto couple during season 2. They can have them doing the same stuff while dating, and not disrupt the show in any way. But I don't know what the hell is up with Jan/Michael. I kind of liked her better when she was sane, and competent. She grounded Michael, and to some extent the show, but now it's just crazy on crazy. Oh well, at least she's got an amazing rack now.
i liked the episode. no huge cliffhangers and they finally did something with jim and pam. it was no casino night though. jan's rack was nice but it was too fake looking, atleast in hd.
i liked it lol. yeah definitely no casino night, but stanley nickels and the ending with the temp were cool. Michael and Jan kill me the way he can't say anything at all to her. She's a trainwreck. And say bye bye to the italian girl. I heard she got her own show on another network.
You sissies. I guess I'm the only one who doesn't care for the Jim/Pam crap. Hell, why don't they just spin them off to a show called Jim and Pam and be like all of the rest of the sitcoms on tv? Dammit...I was really enjoying this show until the ending. That said, I do realize the networks must have their shows appeal to the largest group possible, meaning you ladies. I get that, but I don't have to like it. Now how soon can they turn out the season 3 dvd set!
Did you like season 2? I have a feeling that Jim/Pam's season 2 dynamic will be pretty much how it's going to be with them together. Besides, would you rather they just kept playing out the Jim/Pam angst and back and forth, "will they, won't they" stuff. Even a Jam hater should realize that jim and pam together is the lessor evil as opposed to them pining over each other.
