I love Toby Collecting all Dwights weapons Question: Have they ever said why Micheal and Toby hate each other so much? [Rather Michael Hates Toby] I missed the 1st seasons Rocket River
There was one talking head where Michael talks about Toby being kind of an outsider because he works for corporate and therefore not part of his (Michael's) family. I read that as Michael being pissy at the fact that he doesn't have any actual authority over Toby, and quite the opposite in fact, because Toby has some authority over Michael (like when he threatened to take away Michael's corporate credit card in that one episode). There's a bit too much hostility there for just a bit of resentment over power, so maybe there's some other history between them. Or maybe it's just Michael being an ass for no apparent reason, wouldn't be the first time.
oh yes, it's always been that way. Michael hates "the man" and thus HR. Well, that's part of it, anyway.. but it's always been so
I thought the funniest lines were: Kelly: What is so stupid about wanting to name a baby Usher? Kelly: Usher Jennifer Hudson Kapoor. Ryan: Don’t you see why that’s insane?
"is that the last year for which data is available?" the first 5 minutes with michael being ultra-annoying weren't too good but after that it took off. ryan not standing up for kelly, michael's fake suicide attempt turning into a real "talking him down from the ledge" situation, the ending with it actually being stanley's car. nice episode. edit: and then 30 Rock with "Fat b****", lol.
Great episode. I love how they kept betting on stuff "If someone gives you 10,000 to 1 odds, you take it!"
that was one of the best of the season, felt a lot like last year. i love every office episode for the most part, but this one probably had the most laugh out loud moments during first viewing this year. "tell him bears climb faster than they run."
Creed was definitely peeing. I thought this episode was a little disjointed.. as a whole episode, I thought it was "good not great" (like Michael's breath). Well, even great...but not as great as last week's. But it sure had a TON of laugh-out-loud moments regardless! Kelly's diatribe on Netflix was spectacular as you saw the money piiile up
I'll be using that line a lot. Un-shun. Re-shun. Darryl's sidekick Lonny was pretty funny. He had some great lines. Darryl: Thank god we only had the bailer to deal with. Lonny: Yeah, that dim light is a b****, ain’t it? Michael: Heart disease kills more people than bailers. Lonny: That’s called having a fat butt, Michael. Michael: No, no, it’s … Lonny: Yeah, yeah. That’s fat butt disease. That’s what you suffering from? Fat butt disease, Michael? Kelly: Excuse me, Sea Monster, you weigh like a thousand pounds. Lonny: Yeah? Kelly: Yeah. Lonny: I bet you’d like to swim with this sea monster, wouldn’t you? Kelly: Ryan! Lonny: Dude, please tell your girl to shut up. Kelly: What? Ryan: Kelly, you insulted the gentleman. Please, apologize. Kelly: Are you kidding me?
I agree the episode felt a little disjointed but there were some great moments in there, loved that Kelly spiel and Ryan collecting!
The whole Netflix spiel was good but the breakdown on the side parlays was priceless 5.00 for the number of romantic comedies was incredible and so Kelly. The kiss on the forehead was not bad either.
correct you are, but cut me a break! i only 5. i wonder if garret morris could have done his "im gonna get me a shotgun and kill all the whitey i see" song in todays uber-politically correct-climate?
I think a bit of the stuff from those early SNL days would probably cause a stir if it were done today
