I know I was wondering the same thing. Anway, inspired episode last nite! Funny how the whole episode was about dysfunctional relationships.
I'm not sure if the episode "hung together" as well as I'd like, the first half negotiation was a bit clunky IMO. But there were a ton of laugh-out-loud moments. Dwight with the pepper spray times two, Kelly and Ryan, Angela, Creed and Toby all had hilarious lines/moments. And it looks like this whole Jam thing will be coming to a head pretty soon. I think it's the right time. Once that storyline gets resolved, the show can focus on what it's best at, which is being an ensemble piece featuring a host of very funny, precisely drawn characters.
Creed: Here's the $40 you let me borrow. Michael: I didn't let you borrow $40. Creed: In a way you did.
one of the best this season. i love the fact that it was a true ensemble performance. everyone had equal time and funny lines. daryl was cracking me up. they need to write him into more episodes. he is the perfect foil for michael, as michael is so intimidated by him. i like when roy walked up to angela to get his check and oscar stepped between them.
Damnit. Who's got a link for this last ep? We had a family get-together, and I figured it would be on NBC's site. Why is NBC the only network that won't post aired shows online? Stupid NBC.
I'm tired of NBCs marketing dept. They tried so hard to make this episode seem lame and weak with that Youtube video. It's like they don't actually watch the show.
Because they are making a ton of money from people who download it at iTunes. It is one of the most popular shows downloaded. Without it's initial popularity in the format, this show may have been canceled. I forgot to add...Creed's made up story to Angela about Dwight's heroics was also great.
There are other very popular shows on other networks. They post them after the airing date with advertisements because that's the way it is these days. The fact is I know I can, and will, find the latest episode of the office online. NBC behooves themselves by putting it on their website with their own advertisements. Honestly... Back when "Battle of the Network Stars" was on, I always rooted for NBC. When the Oilers were here, I always thought NBC far surpassed CBS and Fox in production value. This ends today! NBC is officially pulling an "Apple." ie. trying to be stubborn in realizing that you have to keep ahead of the pack.... (on a completely unrelated topic, which is quite understandable considering the hour I'm posting, has anyone else realized how much Apple could have swallowed Microsoft in the 80's? Apple was far superior in PC tech. It simply boggles the mind how much everyone copied the PC (ie. <hff/kfgd\yut[-0bgfsdn>prtzsdre#,9=+=> Vs. Apple's GOTO, or for that matter, enter. Believe it or not, (and, no, I'm not walking on air) I was an amatuer programmer for Apple in the 80's. Perhaps it was "programming for dummies." But I wrote a few simple programs in my youth. By the time, I cared about it again, it had surpassed me so much, I no longer cared. But I certainly do appreciate all the advice y'all give me these days. My Dad thinks I actually know what I'm doing!
I actually looked up negotiation at wikipedia and it has some of the tactics Mike used with Darrell. Good stuff...
This episode made me LOL...I just love the office...Dwight and the pepper spary, Angela needing to hear the story over and over again and then Andy coming back... Michael threating to w/h sx unless he gets a raise was funny...Darryl was funny... Darryl: Make it happen Captain Michael: I am making it happen…Sargeant.
