me and the wife being 2 of the 5 people watching that show, would really hate to see it get broken up, I love watching Earl, the office and 30 rock on the same nite
Our boy Rainn "Dwight" Wilson is hosting SNL this week! Finally a reason to watch again. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/index.shtml
I actually found a stream for last week's episode online. The quality is superb. I am not sure if I am supposed to post the link or not, and I'm not going to take any chances. But if you want it just email me!
damn Roy going off. LOL at dwight just popping up from the back seat. why is this so hard? that's what she said! oh god now i'm saying it.
The kids at the bar saying hi to Creed was great. But they killed it when he mentioned he knew them because he gives out fake ID's. At first I thought he just hangs out with them at high school parties or something. Roy getting upset was funny, but his brother going off as well had me laughing out loud. He smashed a chair out of nowhere. And the show is definitely better off without Jane.
definitely funny when Kenny joined in. Not a fan of how it ended, though. If they ended with just Roy going off...that's more than enough drama for The Office. Way more than usual. But then to go and add "I'm gonna kill Jim Halpert"... over the top. I enjoyed the episode, but the end was a little too out of character for the show. It's like we're left in suspense now...and expecting some sort of violence. Usually that feeling is reserved for 24. Plus we hafta wait 6ish weeks until they start back up to end the season with a string of new episodes.
Very good episode. I thought Roy's anger was well justified and him wanting to kill Jim made perfect sense. He already gave him a bloody lip in the basketball episode, he might have suspected something between them anyway and Pam just blurting it out (as my Grandma would say "What were you thinking?!!). I also like the fact that Karen was giving Jim a bit of his own medicine with the I used to date him a while back schtick. The look on his face when he saw her adjusting that guys tie was priceless.
What was Roy and his brother talking about some jet ski's about? I didn't get that part. They mentioned it twice, but for some reason I couldn't understand what they were saying.
Did that guy say (?) - "I'm going to kill Jim." I only caught the end of it, but it seemed like that's what he said and it just ended like that. I couldnt stop laughing because it made it seem so serious. But was that what he said?
I found this link for streaming episodes of the office: http://www.fanpop.com/spots/the-office-%28us%29/links?sort_method=datecreated&tag_name[]=full+episode The new episode isn't up yet, but the links all seem to work.
but the reaction is very Roy. does it surprise you that, given these circumstances, that Roy would be absolutely furious with Jim...also given, the guy had a few beers?? frankly, i'd have thought it unbelievable if he were like, "eh...no big deal." that he is extremely angry with jim now is certainly to be expected.
I totally agree. While I surprised who he reacted, I'm glad they didn't go for the cheesy sitcom, friends comes to mind for some reason, where no real anger is shown. I thought it was a great episode and I thought Michael was in rare form tonite!
I thought it was one of the best episodes of the year. It moved the Jim/Pam story along and put this Michael/Jan thing on a whole 'nother level. With this couple, I figured that the writers would bring down Michael's lunacy and humanize him for a relationship. Instead, they've gone the other way and upped Jan's craziness and set them up for a major train wreck. Though Michael's "ketchup fight" speech was kind of sweet, so I figure their relationship will go through a number of car-crash break-ups and syrupy make-ups before all is said and done. I've always been a fan of this couple, but this episode just erupted their "crazy, compelling, fun" scale from a solid 8 to an off-the-charts 11. Regarding the whole Pam/Roy, I'm glad they've put that relationship to bed. Otherwise it'd just be a rehash of season 1 and 2 with them. Let's face it, those two aren't going to work out with Jim in the picture or without Jim in the picture. Now hopefully they'll put the Jim/Pam/Karen thing on the back burner for a few episodes since they've gotten a lot of face time the past few weeks. I'm not as down on that triangle as some people (aka Faos ), but I definitely think they should give it a rest for a while before they burn it out. As for Roy saying that he's going to kill Jim, I saw that as just blowing off steam and talking s***. In fact since this is the last episode of sweeps before a slew of reruns, it would not surprise me in the least if they don't even show Jim and Roy's first confrontation. Like how the season 3 premiere skipped over the entire summer.
Oh and about the jet skis, Roy's brother sold a pair that he owned (probably needed the money for something) and basically didn't get crap for them, so Roy and Kenny was going to drown their sorrows. And for any continuity fanatics, they mentioned the jet skis all the way in season one. In one of the deleted scenes they said that Roy blew a bunch of the wedding money that he was saving up for a pair of jet skis, and while it was supposed to be him and Pam, Roy and Kenny were the only ones using it. As for how it came to be in Kenny's possession, I figured that when Roy went through with his actual wedding, he sold them to Kenny to pay for the wedding. So you can sort of see why he's pissed at Pam and Jim. Not to mention the fact that he's been forcing himself to say stuff like, "Strippers aren't sexy. Pam's art is sexy." for the past couple of months.
