Office will return for season 9; Dwight getting his own spinoff "The Farm" ... http://www.wetpaint.com/network/vid...-season-9-and-dwight-is-taking-over-nbc-video Not sure how I feel about a Schrute spinoff. I love his character in the office setting but iffy on it being sustainable with his own show. The episode where Jim and Pam stayed there was funny a few seasons ago, but normally I don't enjoy the shows that go off site.
This season has been great, way better than season 7. Just wish they wouldn't take such long breaks between new episodes.
I wonder if they'll ever dedicate an episode to Michael getting married or if he'll ever come back as a guest.
I've always figured he would make a guest appearance or two towards the end of the final season if nothing else. Him finally getting married would probably be the best way to make that a reality.
The series finale should be multiple episodes, include a Michael wedding. I miss Steve on the show, but really like Andy as the manager as well.
I'm actually a little surprised that Rainn Wilson agreed to do a Dwight spin-off in the first place. Around the time Steve Carell announced he was leaving the show, I was reading an interview with Wilson about the future of the show. I don't remember exactly what he said verbatim or even who the interview was with, but I seem to remember him saying something along the lines of he was getting a little tired of playing Dwight and that he wanted to go back to doing small theatre or something as a change of pace. I'm guessing money was talking pretty loud when it came right down to it, though. That, or the comeback The Office seems to have made this season changed his mind.
So does Nelly have the manager job now? Not looking good for Andy taking off for Florida not telling Robert California.
Saw a rerun late last night, one I guess I missed... its the one where Jim & Dwight try to make a sell to Nash but get beat out by that one guest star. Anyways, I laughed out loud at that one. Rare occurrence.
