I watched one episode and I wonder how Olivia Munn managed to become an actress? i thought she was some of host for a video game show?? She is cute though so I am not hating! I need to start watching 30 Rock and Parks & Recreation(Rob Lowe!!!).
Because you think she's cute it automatically means you're not hating? lol I didn't know it was that easy. Anyway, she is a correspondent for The Daily Show.
Munn is a prime example of someone marketing herself extremely well, after the first few months on Attack of the Show it became more about her getting her name out there and all kinds of stuff like that, kudos to her for going from a nobody to all kinds of gigs that made her too big for the show she started on. As an actress she's very meh in what little I've seen.
Ditto, if they pick the right person and the cast has a good chemistry, it might be a real shot in the arm for it's longevity.
I was wondering the same thing. One day she's hosting G4 and the next day BAM- she's an unfunny correspondent on The Daily Show and is on a network TV show.
i love the office, i love it BUT...as a person who watched since day 1, and have rewatched every episode at least 2 times (at least 4 times the first 3 seasons), michael gary scott just hasnt been the same since the strike
Telling you man, her career could be a case study on how to make it in the industry with marginal talent.....
That is a very optimistic way of looking at it. In my view, it would have the same odds of succeeding as any brand new show (very low). If it changes too much, many current fans could tune out in a hurry and it will be DOA. What should happen to increase the chances in the fall is Carrell disappearing early (done deal) and the replacement joining before this season is over. Sort of like a trial run. The writers would have a chance to gauge reaction and make corrections.
Very true, I'm mean it's an incredibly tenuous situation. Last show I can think of pulling it off is Cheers and even further back Three Company. I'm sure there are plenty more that didn't.
When was that, season 3? I remember there was a point where they portrayed Michael as borderline Mentally r****ded Male (or MR. M if you will) and he seemed too incompetent to even be hired as a warehouse guy.
It was Season 4. If I remember correctly, the Dinner Party episode was the first one after the strike ended.
Last night's episode was easily the funniest in the past 2 seasons. There is still hope.. maybe we need more Kevin. - *micheal scott forcing Kevin to eat the brocolli* Kelly: "stop it, you're killing him!" - lmao I had to pause it because I was laughing so hard.
She's torturous on the daily show, I hope to god they don't get her back. It must burn up veteran female comedians who are vastly more talented that she got that role simply because she looks hot in a princess Leia costume.
I haven't seen her on the Daily show but I'm sure it's painful and I'm sure other comedians and actresses just hate her.
I just watched the latest episode on Hulu and I loved it. I LOL'd at the scene when the guys go the the skating ring, and there is no one there but them. I'm gonna miss the show when it is all done (whenever that is). I am also one of those fans that have watched the entire series.
Brian Baumgartner (aka Kevin Malone) just tweeted this: @bbbaumgartner So excited Will Ferrell will be joining us for a while on The Office! I must've missed this somewhere. (in Kevin voice: "This is gonna be AWEsome")
