I understand that's part of due diligence but a company would never send one of their Investment Bankers to go do that, unless maybe it's a small firm of Investment Bankers. A large org. like MS or GS would be wasting that banker's time if they did something like that (and I assume a large org. would be handling the acquisition since Dunder Mifflin is shown to be a large paper org.).
I enjoyed the episode tonight. Some actual funny moments with Jim and Pam for the first time in a long time. Seeing David Wallace in his current state was also good
The show freakin sucks now. Could not be less funnier. Dwight and the new chicks song - lame Jim and Pam's whole day care thing - super lame
Two horrible back-to-back episodes covering perhaps one of the biggest plot changes in the show. Krasinski directed this episode. Maybe he should stick to just being Jim.
Lol... this may be true but not necessarily. I think Michael may be an extreme case of it, but there are certainly eccentric bosses that don't get fired simply because they bring money into the company. Assuming Dunder Mifflin as a company was really struggling for as long as they were, it's not a big surprise Michael was kept on even if he sucked as a worker because he brought money in. Outside of seeing David Wallace in his current state, this week's episode was terrible.
They need to bounce back with some really good episodes to finish out the season. The Office hasn't really found it legs this year.
They need to get back into in-Office situations, those were always what made great episodes. The show started straying when too much time was spend on outside romances and personal lives.
if it was real life, over half the office would've threatened lawsuits against the company for the stuff michael's pulled on them starting with sexual and racial harrassment.
True. They should actually pretend the last two seasons never happened. Next episode, Jim and Pam get divorced, Jim is demoted to a sales, Erin is replaced by Pam at the receptionist. This way Jim can go back to playing pranks on Dwight and macking on Pam. Those were the best years of the Office.
I think Jim losing co-manager position would be the best move they could make. Not that there are a lot of good moves left. Erin's cute as a button. But Andy probably has the most potential left out and they're wasting his screen time chasing erin.
I think if The Office (and Weeds) had been on Fox, and were cancelled after season 3, they could have taken about a nice 2-3 year hiatus and then been resurrected with a ****ton of new awesome material and storylines. Damn you NBC running your sitcoms into the ground! Remember the last year of Seinfeld? Remember Frasier? and how damn long did Third Rock from the Sun run?
