Wow- Kathy Bates. Interesting. Off topic a bit, Season 4 really gets an unfair, bad rap. Watching this entire season recently, there are tons of hilarious episodes and moments- Branch Wars, Dunder Mifflin Infinity, The Dinner Party, Survivor Man, the rabies one, The Deposition, Night Out, etc. The way some people talk about this season, you'd think it was the worst ever. Very underrated, IMMHO.
I watched some of this season's episodes and I liked it. I tried to get started on season 1 and fell asleep on some of the episodes there.
Get seasons 2 and 3. In my opinion, they are two of the greatest seasons of any show on TV ever. Almost every episode is a classic. (Although, I am a big Office fan, so I may be biased .)
This would even be more monumental: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1534715/news#ni1419885 Ricky Gervais to Appear in American Version of The Office? 12 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news ยป Ricky Gervais may appear in the new season of The Office It seems that Steve Carell's Michael Scott could be meeting his British counterpart next season. According to Ausiello Files, Ricky Gervais, who co-created the U.K. version of The Office which lead to the American version of The Office, might reprise his role as David Brent on the NBC show. While details were scant, Gervais hinted at the return at the TCA's, while promoting his new HBO animated series, saying he was considering doing something with the American show sometime next season.
Yes, at the beginning of a new year, there'll be a handful of new viewers, way to grab em and keep em.
It is lazy, most fans would have preferred a real episode, I have come to expect a great deal from The Office.
how many new viewers is the office gonna pick up with the first episode of season 7? thats like saying the simpsons should run a mashup reel every new season, because they might get some more viewers. people are either with the show, or not with the show by now. not only that, why promote it as a new episode if its just a mashup? understand, i'm a huge office fan, and question how people have turned on it the past couple of seasons. i mean it is still one of the best shows on tv, but again, season premiere and you have a mashup? its disappointing.
I'm not taking sides here, but just thought it would be worth clarifying that this wasn't the first episode of a new season. They just took a customary holiday hiatus. So this was actually episode 14 of season 6, if I'm not mistaken.
ahhhhh ok. thanks for clarifying. either way....extended break, come back with that. again, just disappointed. not a deal breaker, not gonna stop watching it or anything
I think it was kind of cool in a way, because it reminded me of what I love about the Office (i.e. the earlier seasons) which I've been watching lately. Clip Shows happen, hopefully they actually have a decent storyline and the David Brent guest appearance becomes a reality.
