While that movie doesn't really look good, I'll probably give it a shot. I thought Get Smart was going to be not worth of my time, and I ended up really liking it.
Thats what The Office is all about. It allows all characters to have moments when they rise to the occasion (Oscar's frank discussion about revealing his homosexuality) and when they don't (seriously, if one of us were in that situation, in which we had to give an ad-hoc presentation to the C-level executive team, I'd venture to guess that many would do the same thing). That's why it's great. Even the completely idiotic characters have moments of greatness (Michael landing the govt. and the Hammermill account, the Michael Scott Paper Co. etc). It's never easy with The Office- thank God.
For all you Office fans. I found this site site before but they moved for some reason and I just now found it. On the site Justin.TV they have a guy on there that streams office episodes from beginning to end. From season one to the recent ones from season six. So if you are ever bored and need your office fix, instead of just watching the 5 recent episodes on hulu, you can have the whole thing. The only thing bad thing about the stream is you can't pick and choice the episode you want. The Office steam link Thank me later.
Don't know why people say this show is on the decline, I think this season has been up there with the best. I am a little concerned with this new storyline. Is the office writing itself off the air? I sure hope not. I thought Oscar was going to save the company (and who knows he still might). Only 2 more episodes left this year and no details for the remaining 14 episodes this season. Anyone know what's going on?
there is no telling which way this season is going. is dunder mifflin shutting down and michael goes back to his paper company idea? does oscar REALLY rise to the occasion after all and saves the company with his ideas? there is still time for the producers of the show to turn it around and make it a strong season. it hasn't been that bad, but it could be better.
Michael is in the wrong line of work...if you want to call it work. He doesn't really do anything obviously. His real job should be motivational speaker. He could make up any story he wanted. Break out "Prison Mike" again or something. He's the kind of person I want to see speaking when I attend my own company-employee meetings...even if he is blowing smoke. I kind of wish they would at least make it semi-believable that Michael Scott could still be employed given his level of idiocy. Does he have to be a complete flake? We know he would never have a job in the real world. I'm not saying cut out the comedy...but at least with the others they are pretending to be doing a job. Michael doesn't even pretend. It's like watching a homeless guy take home a $2500 bi-weekly paycheck for sleeping on the sidewalk.
It seems they try to cover this "plot hole" by always mentioning that his branch is tops in sales. Still hard to believe, because even if his sales people are that good, they also partake in so much foolishness that it would be impossible for them to get any work done.
Have you watched the whole series? Michael has proven to be a fantastic salesman on many occasions. It seems like he was promoted because of his excellent sale, he just may not be sited for the bosses job.
Michael is forced to face the music when he realizes he cannot keep a promise he made to a group of kids ten years ago. Meanwhile, in order to increase morale, Jim creates an employee of the month program. could be funny. written by the guy who did. directed by ryan howard # The Fight" (November 1, 2005) # "The Secret" (January 19, 2006) # "Michael's Birthday" (March 30, 2006) # "The Convention" (September 28, 2006) # "Traveling Salesmen" (January 11, 2007) # "The Return" (January 18, 2007) # "Women's Appreciation" (May 3, 2007) # "Dinner Party" (April 10, 2008) # "Job Fair" (May 8, 2008) # "Weight Loss" (September 25, 2008) # "The Surplus" (December 4, 2008) # "New Boss" (March 12, 2009) # "The Lover" (Oct 22, 2009) # "Scott's Tots (Dec 3, 2009)
Um, this is just totally ****ing awkward and awful. I don't even want to watch Michael break the news to them.
This is literally just painful to watch. I didn't think they could ever put Michael in a more ridiculously awkward situation. I was wrong.
You gotta admit, they make this show as real as you can possibly get- or, maybe, as unreal. Has there ever been any show that's more painful to watch? They've got guts, I'll give them that- just don't know if some of these episodes are worth watching- man, talk about cringe-worthy.
I didn't enjoy the Jim/Dwight storyline either. I like Dwight when he thinks he's being sneaky or cunning but is actually a giant buffoon. His plan actually semi working and Jim being too dense to pick up on it and get him back didn't work for me.
I don't know i thought the last scene with Ryan could lead to some fun developments. It didn't bother me because Jim has always been shown as being unable to handle the office when he's on his own, like the birthday cake episode
Those were gold. The whole Dwight/Jim storyline was great IMO. Michael's plot was awkward to watch but it fit his character
