LOL! Yes, sir. Also at 7:04... "Oh, yeah. There's my b*tch." But, eh... we're getting off the subject. I realize that everyone knows that THE OFFICE is nothing without Michael, so... we'll see how this develops. Looks like it will work like a charm. "Hey! We need to get you dressed." - Pam
Do you really keep tabs on your laughing? Really? BTW, Anyone know where I can watch this thing right now?
Good comedy does not necessarily equal big laughs... Woody Allen for instance, Less hollow laughs, more substance and thought.
Again, 30 Rock is like Scrubs- fast-talking, someone says something like "remember the last time he..." and you get a quick flashback to an earlier incident, totally off-the-wall characters, and they're both genuinely funny. But they're not The Office. Totally different, done in a documentary style, characters give speeches to the "interviewer," characters have their unique style, it does trend towards drama at times, etc. 30 Rock is funny but yet it's fairly predictable (except for Baldwin's character- that's one of the funniest characters ever in sitcom)- and, this may be completely against what everyone else thinks, but I don't think Tina Fey is that funny by herself. She's a great writer, and she has some genuinely funny moments, but they seem more forced than anything. I actually think the blonde (her friend, not the babe receptionist) is funnier than her. But, really, that show is all about Jack Donaghy and Tracy- everyone else pales in comparison (although the dude with the glasses has some pretty funny moments). The Office- landmark show with an excellent ensemble cast 30 Rock- very funny show with 2 awesome characters and very good ones to surround them
maybe there will finally be some Jim/Pam conflict with Jim staying and Pam leaving with Michael I think part of the reason people are starting to dislike the show is Jim. He used to be a likable character but he has just become such a douche imo, I am at the point where I am always rooting for Dwight in their little battles.
When Jan was there, the crazy b*tc... I mean, the crazy ladies would watch even more. That's GONE in the wind. In my opinion, 30 Rock is hilarious, unless Tracy Morgan is saying "b*tch" every 5 minutes. The show benefits from the leftover The Office crowd much: I'd say about 25% of its viewership is peeps who religiously watch The Office and are just not in need to go potty. Have you noticed how SOON it starts?!? Do they really want me to 'hold it' that's what she said!??
Next week is a double episode. is next week the double episode? i thought it was in two weeks. as for me it was an ok episode not really the funniest one but I think the overall story line needed something an episode like this to set everything else up. Dwight making excuses to not go with michael surprised me. and yes at the end when Stringer Bell asks Kevin to work the phones and Stanley to be productivity czar cracked me up. 30 Rock was a lot funnier this week but they are apples and oranges if you ask me each are amazing in their own way. And yes I agree with the poster who said Jack Donaghy being one of the greatest characters ever.
yeah it wasn't great, but i agree--it was probably necessary to set up future funny stories. no, pam and michael are not gonna be together (imo)...that's outrageous and not funny either, so can't see it. those 2 won't be able to do a damn thing, so it's just a question of how they're coming back. i liked the clip at the end showing bj novak at a bowling alley..
ReallY? I missed that. Have to go to hulu and watch it again. Ryan is supposed to be in Vietnam or something right?
I'm certainly not going to link to it here, but there's a pron parody trailer of The Office out now. NSFW and Google is your friend. The boss is played by a female.
