A better episode in a declining season. Didnt really find the fur coat thing that funny, first of all its a guy in a fur coat, which i havent seen since that episode in seinfeld, where it was parodied. Im reminded how well Pam/Michael work together comically, the writers should give them more dialogue rather than Pam-Jim scenes. Positive points- Michael's "I'll be six" part in the lemonade example Kevin thinking Michael's a math genius
"Why is this even here!" Great episode lots of fun all around, michaels reaction when the office came to a decision, classic.
Crappy episode. I love the Office, but what the hell was that about. They need to hurry up and break up Angela and Andy. Start some kinda war between Andy and Dwight...with Jim playing pranks on both of them. That will revive the season.
I agree this Dwight Angela Andy thing is getting a little out of hand but other than that I've loved season 5. I personally think its been a BIG upgrade from season 4.
i agree with whoever said it was a little disjointed, but with a lot of great individual moments. michael choking on the tiramisu while on the phone with the boss (can't remember his name) and then taking another bite and choking/coughing again. just picturing the guy on the other was great. and the cut from michael yelling "mother..." to him in the fur coat was excellent. and i've said it before in this thread but i'll say it again and agree with MadMax that i don't get the problem people have with Jim/Pam. it isn't like we spend half an episode with them on a dinner date and Jim looks at the waitress a little too long and they have an argument or Pam's dad doesn't approve of Jim and we have to work that out or something. if the show was taken over by their relationship drama, that would be one thing. but they still mostly just goof around like they always have, jim still calls her "beasley" sometimes, and their biggest drama is chairs vs copier.
I agree... I really have very little desire to actually watch any of season 4 again. All of the other seasons I've viewed tons of times, even many this season. Season 4 was not that good...
I think Season 4 fell victim to the writers strike just like everyone else, but Season 5 really has had a lot of LOL moments. Jim and Pam stuff starts to annoy me after a while.
Because if I wanted to watch a sappy love story I'd tune to Oxygen or Lifetime. I don't mind office relationships in the show, they just make it too much like a chick flick. That said, many women watch for just that reason, so if it keeps that show on the air I'll deal with it. What really drove the show during season 2, and even season 3, was mainly the relationship/love tension between Jim and Pam. That was what made people including me want to watch the next episode and the next. But now that they are together, there is no tension. The writers/producers are now hoping that Dwight and Angela can produce the same tension. But it's just not the same.
Haven't seen these posted yet. These are even better than most of the regular show. Here's my favorite, episode 2. Creed is just great here, and Kevin, and Toby. Make sure you see all of them though. <object width="512" height="296"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/NMLCvkQih3IS_ee5QQu2ww"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/NMLCvkQih3IS_ee5QQu2ww" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="512" height="296"></embed></object>
