I was an obvious setup episode. I still enjoyed it, but it didn't have near the laugh out loud moments. Hopefully the 1 hour finale will not disappoint.
yea, not that good.. best parts imo: kevin talking about how hes going to turn oscars petty cash into next months rent creeds line when hes on the phone with angela talking about how they're going to split.
Yeah, pretty weak episode, but Andy had me rolling as usual hitting 1200 golf balls the night before and then trying to drink his beer hahaha! I also thought it was hilarious when he drove the golf cart in the sandtrap. Also, it seems like every episode now has an incredibly awkward Michael moment that makes me cringe so badly I would almost rather not watch it.
They really are making Michael almost too nonsensical. Its gotten to the point you assume that he's completely out of touch with reality and will do the most socially/professionally unacceptable thing every time.
Very true, however, I think what they showed us last week makes it seem like Michael is putting it on for us. When he thought no cameras were around while confronting Stanley, he actually seemed quite normal. Well, at least in that Stanley had to respect him because he was his boss. And although it was as awkward, it seems as normal as Michael can be. I agree with the sentiments above - this was not a good episode. It had its moments with Andy and Creed, who always make me laugh, but the finale is all set up now. Great tension between Dwight and Angela.
I agree 100%. Michael is putting on an act for the cameras. When he doesn't know they're there you see pieces of the real Michael. You see a bit of it in the "I'd never say this to her face" line about Pam.
Very lame episode. I thought the group was going to come back to the office and find Dwight doing Angela, or at least making out with her. The two best lines were Kelly saying Daryl is her "Obama" and Michael telling the intern candidate that Pam would "do" him. She's already been with two other guys in the office. A set up episode is not an excuse for lameness. The writers should be ashamed.
I think we all agree that episode sucked azz last night...I liked Kevin's lines when playing golf, but that's about it... Hell, next week is the season finale and I must say, thank god...
I can't believe I am so in the minority on this one, but I really enjoyed last nights episode -- lots of dry humor. Michael's kissing comment at the end was gold.
it was an ok episode for me the highlight was Kevin and his obsession with gambling. I was rolling as soon as he started naming off all the games that they were going to play. I have seen episodes i have liked less it had it moments Andy with his blisters and pumping in the aloe into his gloves was awesome
I liked it, too. There were a lot of great lines. I think some people aren't satisfied unless they're on the ground laughing all episode. Great lines: - Michael: Today I am headed over to the job fair at Valleyview high school to find some new interns. Get some fresh blood. Um, euthanize this place. - Creed: Hiya Pumpkin, it's Creed. So we're gonna ditch this b****. You in? - Darryl: What college did you goto Mike? - Kevin: What are we talking? Skins? Acee Deucee? Bingo Bango Bongo? Sandies? Barkies? Wolf? What? - Michael: You can do whatever you wanna do. You can be a classy janitor or a cashier with dignity. Or a... migraine worker. - Michael (in response to Pam's "Are you serious?"): Yes. And don't call me Shirley.
I'm probably the biggest The Office supporter on this site. I've bought all the dvds. I have a right to say this episode sucked and I will continue to watch.
That was pretty much the only "HA!" the show got out of me. But yeah, total setup ep...but that definitely had me rolling.
i loved this episode. the dwight and angela scenes were suspenseful. i kept on waiting for them to give in to their desires but they just kept on wearing their masks of cold politeness. the copier scene was especially great. pam was especially in this episode also.
