I think that depends on how we (and more importantly, the network) defines "work." The bar that a show has to clear in order to be deemed a success is much lower than when The Office first aired and even than when The Office went off the air. Maybe the show won't be as sharp or as funny, and it certainly won't draw the ratings the show did at its peak, but I think the nostalgia factor (which sounds weird to say since the show hasn't been gone that long) of having SOME of the old cast back, combined with a fresh take on a familiar setting, could be enough to make the show what we now consider a hit in TV parlance.
