Typical liberal who has never hates a tax except one from the other party.

    10% consumption tax
    --or--
Continue to tax the middle class out of existence.

I know where liberals stand. Make everyone poor.

You KNOW... seriously, LOL. 90% of the time, you don't know what you are talking about and 99% of the time, you presume.

    another free one

Trump is using the ‘Laffer curve’ to find the tariff sweet spot
Tariffs are taxes, and the Reagan era has much to say about how high to go before revenue suffers.

Was promising a "golden era" wrong? Now we've shifted from that bold claim to "well, it wasn't a catastrophe" - classic goalpost moving.

One prediction was actually made (golden era), while the other is largely a strawman. Economists didn't literally predict the sky would fall, but that's what headlines are for - turning nuanced warnings about recession and inefficiency into apocalyptic drama.

At the end of the day, we went from promises of a golden age to relief that disaster was avoided. But don't be nitpicky - this is just the beginning of a new era of across-the-board tariffs. There will be plenty of time to assess the real impact once the chaos settles, if ever.

People noticing that they can't afford hamburgers anymore because the cost of ground beef is almost 6 bucks a pound.

OT, I am embarrassed for you, if only you had done some research on Laffer,

    in 2014,

but that didn't stop the Trust Fund baby from lying about it.

    in 2019,
Trump pretends a failed economic theory has been proven true,
insisting that he's spent "many years" studying the Laffer Curve :oops::oops::oops::oops:

ot, if only you'd read what you have posted.

you do know that tariffs on Chinese imports have not been settled, after the 3-day negotiation session in Sweden, no?
looks like another Trump TACO / pause move is forthcoming.

Good stuff, #1 victim of tariffs is
.. Toyota? Haier? Samsung? Aramco? Novo Nordisk?

    Nope it's

    Ford Motor Co

Nothing says "Make America Great Again" then making it more expensive to buy Ford & GM than Mazda & Lexus

So you are basically saying that it’s a virtue that Trump has a knack for getting suckers to spend money they don’t have on things they don’t need just because they are suckers to believe the lies that come out of Trumps mouth?

So is it a good thing to you that America is full of suckers or that Trump is a con man?

You know as well as anyone that inflation is the only tax that matters.
