You should have seen the GARM right before we got Yao...although there were a lot more haters then b/c he wasn't established yet.

    No to Chris Bosh.

From what it looks like lately, we'd have to give up too much.

On a second note... I do trust that Daryl would make a nice assessment of what's a good deal for US.

yea I typically like to avoid 6'11" guys who over their career average around 20 points and 10 boards while shooting 50% from the field and 80% from the line, throws in a block per game and has a pretty damn low turnover rate....dime a dozen in this league, wouldn't want anything to do with that

Clever.... shame on us for wanting a big-time free agent that is realistic to acquire.

i give u that he is a better Defender than Scola. If you look at both the Raptors and the Rockets roster if let's say we swapped both Chris and Luis would we had made the playoffs in the West? I really dont see that much improvement, If you look at most the championship teams besides the Spurs when they won it with Duncan/Robinson most have won it with 2 "superstars" with a Guard involved. Could Yao/Bosh be a Duncan/Robinson as much as i want to see it I can't, lets just go all in on Yao and surround him like we did Hakeem.

I don't know what was like back then. But I think at least we had the first pick and we have the contro to pick Yao or not. The Bosh sitution is totally different. He is not even close to be a Rockets. And we don't have any control here. And we just keep posting things like how much we like him and get no positive responses at all. It is like you flirted with a hot girl, but she just slapped on you. I don't like it!

Better scorer - yes give the edge to Bosh over Scola
Rebounder - push if you will. Scola career average is ~8. Bosh's is ~9.
Defender - neither are known for their "elite" defense. Enough for me to call it even.
Shot Blocking - ~1 career blocks for Bosh, ~0 for Scola. Again, neither known for their elite shot blocking. Enough for me to call it even.

Then consider the money each will get/will be making. Is Bosh deemed to be a big upgrade over Scola for the money he(Bosh) will be getting(which is likely the max or will be the max if he comes here)? I wonder if some of these people(who want Bosh) are the same ones who said no to Joe Johnson because we have Kevin Martin. Similar situation. Look, I'm certainly not opposed to Bosh but I dont think he's coming here so..I guess that's that. JMO

I want Bosh on the team and I think Morey's a great GM, but I think it's ridiculous that you're criticizing someone simply for opposing something that Morey wants. If we shouldn't ever disagree with Morey, why bother having an opinion on anything? Why bother having these forums at all? Let's just all line up like robots and assume that everything Morey does is right and we dare not disagree. If you happen to agree with Morey, as I do, that's one thing. But if you agree just because he's who he is and you're not, that's quite another. How can you even enjoy the game, if that's the case? Even as a comparatively uneducated, unknowlegable fan, I'll have my own opinion, thank you.

Th biggest thing for me is that he just doesn't say max contract player. If I've got max money, I'm going after other players.

How weak can you be when you're scoring 25 and pulling down 11 boards?

Also, the argument that he has never won...look at his roster. The only time Wade has won was when he had a team that was talented around him. All other years, Wade wins 45 or less, in a weaker eastern conference.

In the end, basketball is a team sport...one player does not define a team. Bosh's lack of playoff success cannot be pinned on him. Put him in a lineup with Yao, KM, and Brooks, and you will see a winning combination.

I'm just sick of all the attention whoring on behalf of the FA's. I wish they'd stop twittering to get media and just handle their business at this point.

Does Amare say max contract player? How about Joe Johnson? Bosh is better than both. If they get those kinds of deals, then Bosh deserves it as well.

OH **** ME! I posted in the another I don't want Bosh thread instead of the OFFICIAL one.

    **** **** ****!

Sure, everyone has the right to have an opinion, but when posting on the forum, it would be nice if the basis for such opinion is well-explained so as to faciliatate a meaningful discussion.

I have the same take, by the way, about Jerome Solomon's posts. Sure he can disagree with Morey, but lets not do so for silly reasons one can't even articulate in a newspaper article or even blog entry by a supposedly professional journalist.

Yep look at Amir Johnson's contract. That alone is enough for me to conclude that Bosh is well worth the max contract.

Pau Gasol averages more blocks than Chris Bosh. Do people really look at Pau as a shot blocking presence? I'm just saying......

Point taken. I just hate to give up as much as most people are discussing.
