Job Search Tip of the Day August 21, 2012 To include earlier positions on a resume without the dates, write them up in an italicized "footnote" paragraph at the end of your Experience section. (Just remember to include the dates with your most recent positions). I feel you did a great job and I can clearly see a difference between a well organized resume and my bland one...I could never have written anything like this. I can confidently apply for jobs knowing I have a good resume now. Much appreciated." - ClutchFans Member/Client 1, 8/6/2012 "Hey Dan, thanks for the resume. SAP is a beast. In depth training would be priceless for your future. If you're just going to dabble in it, I see little value there other than a line on a resume.

Job Search Tip of the Day August 23, 2012 For the truly important interviews, buy Resume Folders from Southworth and submit your resume in one of them to the interviewer, even if they already have a copy in front of them. Job Search Tip of the Day August 24, 2012 Before you interview with a company, research them online and print out items such as some of their website pages, an article about them, etc. Then, during the interview, find a way to show the interviewer that you put together a binder of research about her/his company. 3D artist but I'm switching gear and trying to learn Javascript and HTML5. I want to create my own Apps to take advantage of Windows 8/Phone 8 that will be coming out.
dandorotik, what's the best way to show on my resume that I worked as a consultant at a certain company and not employee? I've been consulting for years through my own company but I don't want to list it as my employer. I want to list the big companies I consulted at. Plus it would better explain any short 9-12 month stints at said companies.
Reading through dando's tips for my interview Tuesday. Finally am getting an interview for one of the jobs I wanted out of college. What would be the best way to answer the question why are you already leaving the job you are currently working? I plan on being honest and saying I was scared coming out of college I wasn't going to find anything, so I took the job that came easy for me so I wouldn't have to be dependent on my parents. Now after a few months of doing it I know it is not what I want to do with my life.
I'm not sure about being that honest. Just tell them that while you enjoyed your time there it does not provide the opportunities to progress your career in the direction you want.
That does sound pretty good. In honesty, the job I'm interviewing for is 100x better than what I'm doing ha. Better hours, better pay, better opportunities. I just don't want to sound pathetic when interviewing. The area manager told me when I graduated I should work for them, problem was he told me the day after I started my current job.
I begin training on the former at the end of September. Hopefully that'll open up better job opportunities for me.
First, you tell them that you thoroughly enjoyed working for this employer, and they were great to you. Then, you can tell them that you had to take it because of the reason above- or, you can say that you couldn't find something in your field and you were to the point where you had to take something outside of your field. Just make sure to talk very highly about the company you are working for.
CLIENT COMPANIES, Location, Year-Year Consultant Consulted with clients regarding...., including Fortune 500 and high-profile corporations.... SELECTED ENGAGEMENTS & ACHIEVEMENTS (client names are confidential): ++ Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical Company - text. ++ Mid-Sized Manufacturing Conglomerate- text. ++ Fortune 100 Retailer - text. I think that, when you're a consultant, you can't reveal the specific client names, so just describe the type of company like above (and employers will respect that you can keep info. confidential).
Cop. Pay sucks. I work in excess of 60 hours a week to make up for the pay. But hey, I get to carry a gun and play with lights and sirens. So I guess it could be worse.
