It's not an obvious lineup, it's stupid and you will never see it happening.
Just like Battier and Ariza, AB and Lowry together doesn't work.

The rotation and lineups should be:

    Brooks - Lowry
    Budinger - JT
    Battier - Ariza
    Scola - Landry
    Hayes - Andersen

Dorsey and Cook are not play worthy.

With a trade a new SG should present itself so Budinger can back him up, further develop JT and let them battle for a back-up position. Both can also battle for back-up SF as they cannot do worse than Ariza. In a perfect world, Ariza and Tracy are traded for a new starting SG and starting center.

Unlike Battier and Ariza, AB and Lowry have a positive +/- together.

I generally like this, but have the following concerns:

    1) When Brooks & Lowry play big minutes together, their isnt anybody to call off the bench to play point. Their minutes run up in a hurry and although they are young, rest is required, and you cant afford to take both out of the line-up at the same time.

    2) How playworthy JT is must account for his limited playing time. Or, like some have pointed out, theirs another reason to keep Ariza & Battier both starting and playing big minutes.

Now, if we had another 6' speedster, then you could keep any combination of the 2 out on the court almost indefinitely. Right now, imo, the Lowry / Brooks combo is the only significant edge the Rockets have on most opponents. Defending their slashing capability has been an ongoing problem for opponents all year. Certainly a PG who has speed is a lot easier to come by than an elite center these days. A guy who need only play 18-20 minutes or so.

I really hope this seeming reluctance on Adelman's part to let either Ariza or Battier come off the bench has more to it than ego stroking.
