Can't see the NFL allowing a third team in Texas before anybody moves to Los Angeles. Plus, San Antonio is a pretty big Cowboys town - Jerry would fight tooth and nail to not give up that market.

It's not going to happen. Well, it's about as likely as the owners approving Donald Trump to buy the Bills.

I don't think it would hurt Jerry that much because the Cowboys have a life long fan base there. Bob McNair would probably fight harder because if San Antonio got a team the Texans could possibly become the 3rd favorite team in the state...

But owners always threaten to move their teams to L.A. to get what the want and now San Antonio has become a new bargaining chip.

Jerry Jones will fight harder than Sterling to keep the SA market Cowboys territory.

It's possible because if you combine SA and Austin TV/Radio markets the number is much bigger. That combined market beats cities like KC, BMore, Cincy, Indy, Nashville, San Diego, NOLA, JAX, BUF, and GB. That doesn't include the Valley which is Cowboy country but could factor in.

Jerry already has one of the nation's most valuable franchises and doesn't have to worry about competing in TV markets except for twice a year when the Raiders would play on FOX.

Due to the Cowboys being in another conference, the logistics aren't as murky.

However, this is mostly a leverage play by Mark Davis and it has already provoked a response from the Oakland mayor saying they are working on getting a stadium.
