Well, except fear mongerers who are about to lose their **** knowing that their next president will have a funny sounding name.
dude, the middle east wasn't utopia before israel, the shiites vs the sunni etc the school bus door is open, hop in, i'm driving
Being associated with this guy is straight embarrassing especially for Obama. So he's an Obama "supporter" that doesn't like him at all and thinks he would essentially butcher US-Israeli relations? That's somebody i'd want on my side!
Solving the "Palestinian problem" would make the middle east a much better place. It not causing the Iran-Iraq war is your supporting evidence? Our unconditional support for Israel (settlements and all) brings us a great amount of ill will from the muslim world. I hope Obama will try to broker peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
The Middle east was not a peaceful place.. EVER there has bee regional conflicts, tribal conflicts that have nothing to do with Palestine. so to say that the whole Palestinian conflict is the solution is over simplifying things. Peace is never going to happen dude. Put the Lennon record down.
Middle Eastern stability is not a Lennon record, buffoon. It's the country's biggest foreign policy issue now, and for possibly the rest of our lives. If you don't understand that I'm not sure you have much to offer to these types of threads. Resolving the Palestinian issue is not the sole solution and that has never been asserted, anywhere by anyone in this thread. But it is one of the few issues about which several Islamic countries have been able to unify in opposition to the West.
I agree that solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would not make the middle east a peaceful place. Still it would bring a semblance of stability to a very unstable region. I also think it would be a pr breakthrough for us in the islamic world. Imagine if we had never brokered peace between Egypt and Israel. The Middle East would even be a bigger cluster**** than it is today.
We just tell the Palestinians and Israelis...
