Take him. PLEASE! I give it a month before T-Mac or Yao strangles him.

Some Nugs fans are down on signing Watson. He doesn't solve our biggest need, but he's a solid player. I'm for it.

They're probably freaked out by that gaping hole at SG, but you can never have too many solid point guards.

Very good point. I don't think Joe Johnson is worth a max contract either but he has more tools to develop than K-Mart. While not as physically gifted as T-Mac, Kobe or LeBron, JJ can shoot the 3, create his own shot, penetrate/finish, penetrate/dish & lead the fast break. He is also a pretty good defender. He is also clutch, which K-Mart is not.

I guess what I'm saying is JJ's skill set far exceeds K-Mart. JJ's leadership ability will determine how successful he is in Atlanta, not his skills or dedication to basketball. If he turns out to be a good leader (very big question mark), the Hawks got a steal, IMO.

If he isn't the guy to help develop the Hawks' very young players, oh well. I'd still rather have JJ on my team at the max than K-Mart.

Nuggets4, what happens to your backcourt if Watson signs? Does Andre Miller slide over to SG? If not, does Watson back him up and Boykins gets cut or traded?
