No, he isn't. He will go for the BPA irrespective of height. He let Boggie go because he was done.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek in the "not so optimistic draft pick thread" by picking the top undersized center.

Usman Garuba, playing big minutes for Real Madrid (team mate of Sergio Lull) in Euroleague

Let's hope he won't pull a Llull on us if he is selected.

Thread title is "not so optimistic", this comment is indeed a not so optimistic view. Perhaps also realistic.

I've only done a bit of highlight reel scouting and reading on players outside the lottery. Here's some casual analysis:
    • Ayo Dosunmu - Already popped up a few times in this thread. Good athlete, not great. Good attitude and culture guy. Questions about his outside shooting being legit. If he can't shoot he's not really a 3-D wing, and he'll have to be on ball more, but he doesn't profile as a starting lead guard. Could get picked higher with a good tournament.

    • Jaden Springer - Springer is rising up boards, for good reason. One of the youngest in the class. Promising shot. Plays both ends of the court. Point of attack defender. Signs of playmaking ability. Might be a bit "hidden" as the 3/4 option for TEN.

    • Tre Mann - He was brought up in another thread about late picks. Fun to watch. 6'5 with a good handle and off the dribble shooting. Compact, low effort shot. Not an explosive athlete, doesn't look especially strong rn, but not afraid to attack the basket. Has a decent floater as a counter.

    • Jared Butler - I think he'll be one of those "low-ceiling" prospects that ends up having a long NBA career. Leader. Good handle, shot, and poise. Does it all at the college level. His age, size, and the small combo guard label is gonna hurt his stock, but I think he can be a true point.

    • Davion Mitchell - 3 and D guard. I think I saw some stat that he's forcing a turnover on like 30% of his 1-on-1 defensive possessions. Pat Bev you could say.. although I think Mitchell has a little more offensive upside and creativity. Another small combo guard. Not sure if he can run an NBA offense on his own.
