He was injured I believe. He's only played 24 games in his career. Apparently Nets have him guarding KD in practice on the regular. Imagine having that as your formative NBA education as a young man.
This kid is something else. Not sure how many blocks he had but he swatting and altering everything. The Nets signed Alize Johnson another promising big man
Also I hope everybody realizes Harris is a nobody with a broke shot the only reason he looks great is cuz of Harden.
Are you talking about Bruce Brown? Because Joe Harris isn't a nobody and his shot is very far from broken lol.
Oops yeah I meant Bruce Brown lol. You are right Harris was a big part of their rotation even before Harden trade.
That first video guarding Brad Beal is just ridiculous. The way he shuffled his feet, avoided fouling even when Beal tried to lunge into him, and still contested was freakish. This is the NBA's leading scorer he is locking up and he is a center.
I said this earlier he will be a better defender then Jonathan Issac. That’s how much potential he has. He will be way better defender then Allen who they gave up. Allen dosent have anywhere near his agility
Here is his pre-draft scouting report from 2019: Real question is how the hell did the Nets get him with a second round pick?
They are fine players, but they benefit waay to much from playing in the nets. They wouldnt be that impactful on another teams, they are just getting mostly dunks and layups on offense, with very clear open lanes to the rim. Claxton looks like he may develop very well, but bruce brown is mostly a smart and hard working player without that much talent. Great fit for the nets, but more likely very poor for most teams.
The Nets want his defensive game and him being lob threat . He is not out there for offensive reasons!. When he has played 20 or more minutes the Nets points against per game is 99 points. That’s like 15 points drop off from when he dosent play 20 or more. That’s a significant improvement!
In addition to be very well-suited for the Nets, for related reasons, they are both really fun players to watch with Harden or, to a lesser extent, Kyrie.
Theres just too many unknowns for guys like Claxton. Like OKC bet high on Pokusevski I dont think anybody is calling him the steal of the draft. Nets are just lucky they stumbled on him and Rox messed up getting Kurucs and not including this dude as a throwaway.
Yeah but if he didnt have Harden he would be trash and unplayable cuz he cant shoot. Just go to Gleague bro so many athletic freaks who cant shoot. Put Tate in his place and Tate would be ROY contender.
