    1) L vs IND
    2) W @ MIA
    3) L @ NO
    4) L vs PIT
    5) W vs OAK
    6) L @ BAL
    7) L @ TEN
    8) W vs JAX
    9) W vs CLE
    10) L @ TB
    11) W @ JAX
    12) L vs ATL
    13) W @ CIN
    14) W vs CAR
    15) L @ IND
    16) W vs TEN

    8-8, and I'm not even sure we beat Miami, Oakland, and JAX twice... Could be another 6-10 season or worse...

    6-10, though I could see us stealing a couple (Miami, Tampa, sweeping JAX or TEN instead of splitting). So 10-6 is possible, I'm predicting 6-10 and they'll probably finish somewhere in between.

    Over/Under on when DonnyMost has his annual meltdown and implores Gary and Bob to fellate him has been set at Week 3. What say you, CFers?

    Didn't that already happen back in January?

    Under, lulz :(

    Honestly, I defended Kubiak in 2008... I defended him even more in 2009... but 2010 was it for me... I hit my breaking point.

    If you want to point to a day when I lost all confidence in Gary Kubiak, it was November 21st, 2010... the Jets game.

    I got the tiniest bit of hope back during the 2nd half of the Baltimore game, and then was soundly and rightfully kicked squa' in the nuts by Team Gary again.

    I went to bat for Gary and Bob quite a bit over the last 3 years. But I'm done now. I want Gary gone, even if he wins this year, he can still fellate me for the crapgasm he gave us the last 2 years, and Bob McNair isn't exactly my favorite person in the world either (for mostly off-field/non-personnel reasons).

    Crazy to make predictions before draft and rosters, but here is my "tentative" outlook:

    Indy W
    @Miami W
    @NO L
    Pittsburgh L
    Oakland L
    @Baltimore L
    @Tenn W
    Jax W
    Cleveland W
    @TB W
    Bye
    @Jax W
    Atlanta L
    @Cincy W
    Carolina W
    @Indy (Thursday) L
    Tenn L

    9-7 and a contract extension!

    The good thing about this schedule is that hopefully kubiag will get fired early (unlikely, I know)

    this thread is depressing.

    I haven't really paid attention to the Texans much during the offseason. Now I come read this Thread and it's instant misery and depression.

    We all know how this season is going to play out, yet we will still subject ourselves to it. Why did I have to click on this link and see the schedule last night. Arrrrghhhh

    No, no - legit question. If you had said the second Colt game, sure. But was there some egregious error in the Jet game???? I mean, Frank Bush, sure.

    Saying that "X was the moment I lost confidence in Y" does not mean that "X" has to be some kind of major factor, or the only factor, for that matter. But rather that "X" + "A, B, C, D, E, F, G...." finally amounted to "Y" for me.

    See what I'm saying?

    After the Jets game, that was the first time I honestly believed that Gary should be fired. And I haven't changed my mind since. (except for one fleeting moment on a fated Monday night against the Ravens... alcohol might have had something to do with it)

    Gary should have punched Bush square in the face after that long completion at the end of the game.

    I guess... just seems a weird game to reach the end of your rope when it so clearly illustrated that our defensive coordinator, and not neccessarily the HC, was the one in WAY over his head.

    I still maintain hope an even remotely competent, somewhat dependable defense will make everyone - players and coaches - better.

    That just means you made Wade Phillips head coach. That silver lining was mercury.

    For the head coach to watch his DC trot out the second* worst possible defensive scheme conceivable to protect a 4 point lead, 70 yards, and 55 seconds (no TO), after a season of watching that same DC's Hall of Fail secondary not perform.....yes, yes, I too would say it was an egregious error for Kubiak to not fire Frank Bush and Alex Gibbs on the spot during the game and call a prevent defense.

    * after a Goalline formation.

    The fact that I could simply do some creative editing and turn this into a testimonial of a man who has been spurned by the same woman time and time again is appalling, and depressing. Not because it's sad, or pathetic, but because I think everybody actively participating in this thread is feeling the EXACT same way as DonnyMost. It's amazing that the smallest bit of positive interaction has us so hopeful that things might get back to the way they were. The parallels are uncanny. How many times have you found yourself saying, "She was SO nice to me at that party. We had a few drinks, and we had the time of our lives laughing and joking with each other...I really think she likes me.", only to find that the next time you talk to her, she's her normal, aloof self? It's her way of controlling you. It's the same with the Texans....that Ravens game was just her being nice to you at that party, Donny! Don't fall for it again....not again.

    Maybe he should have punched Jason Allen square in the face.
