hell when I was a kid we played tackle football barefoot without pads.

    Those kids are wimps. :p

I personally think Jr. High is about the right age for kids to play organized tackle football if they want. Maybe a year or 2 younger but I know my wife wouldn't let me enroll my 7 year old if I tried.

You don't have coaches teaching you to put your helmet in between the numbers when you are playing backyard tackle football. When you play tackle without pads, you tackle by grabbing and dragging them down, not by hitting. Pads and helmets put a new dimension to football. That is why there are more serious football injuries as compared to professional rugby or Aussie football.

8 yrs old is enough to have concussions. Any younger, and you are a bad parent.

I want in on all the action.

DD - King? Let me know exactly what puts you on your high horse? Take a step down off your own homemade pedastal. I think you try to pass the image off as if you are more successful than others on here. I promise you, that you have zero on me. Since we know your real name, a quick search through the apprasial district, tells me that I could fit your home inside of my garage.

MB- You are a evil person. Making your kids play at 6. Shame. Its almost as bad as what you did to the Special people at your wedding. Shame.

I have sparring facilities here in Spring, if you two want to come by my gym and lace up the gloves. I can film it, and all proceeds go to Clutch. What do you say?

Uh, yeah, I am having a laugh thanks....

Wow, your garage must be ginormous......not sure which of my homes you want to try to squeeze in there though.

Spring? No wonder, you can buy a mansion with two nickels in that seedy neighborhood.

And who uses film these days anyway, get a digital recorder for crying out loud.

    ;)

But, honestly, do you think I was being serious? I mean REALLY?

    Wow !!!!

    The silverback rests.......(snort)

1st off, I was being funny. 2ndly, Spring a hell hole? For the record, I lived in Austin for years. From downtown to Round Rock, to 56 acres in Cedar Creek. If I was still 21, I would live in Austin.

I honestly don't know if I would put my kid in tackle football at 6, heck, he's only 6 weeks old, haha. Besides, my wife is already saying, no to football. WEAK!

On the other hand, I've seen kids that age do much worse things and get hurt...without pads.

Ultimately, young boys seem to be very active and probably subject themselves to all kinds of activities that get them hurt. We all did. Most of us got up, and started playing again or went crying to mom and dad. So, if there was no real harm (kid didn't get hurt), no foul.

Now if the kid is playing just b/c their parents want them to play, that's an entirely different story.

Wow....so we are not having fun anymore are we?

I think I will go eat an expensive lunch in your honor....

    :)

BTW - I think your post was way out of line.......and clearly you have issues with the old Silver back.

But hey, you are a rowdy....that is something !

And Spring is ok, it is a nice neighborhood....(Snort), maybe I will buy a rental property or two in yours.

I'm just impressed the coaches could get a bunch of 6yo's to line up and run a play. Damn. I have enough trouble getting kids that age to play positions in soccer and baseball.

How do you tell a linebacker he's not going to touch the ball???? Or not let every kid play quarterback?

FWIW -- we didn't play tackle until 8th grade. Many schools didn't start until 9th.

Are you trying to insult my job, lol. DD, you are the only MF in the world, traveling and doing things. I love my job. I wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. You want to know why? B/C I own my buisness, and manage people just like you.

If you want to be funny, then why dont you turn that webcam on and record you doing 5 push-ups. I'm fit, Im good. I can actually run a basketball court, unlike you. Your caught up in your glory years when you could actually be a factor on a court. Fact of the matter, nobody on here is jealous of a Chris Farley look-a-like. Your high blood pressure and constant heartburn and indigestion on video, is a laughing stock of CF's. We all look at you as just another character. Your the cartoon Dan Conner of Clutchfans. Dude, give it a break.

You're the one getting personal dude. You're the one bringing up income. DD is just stating his opinion in the manner he always does. One thing I can say about DD even though I disagree with him on a lot issues is that he is honest about who is and what he believes in.

When did I insult your job? I believe I was making fun of you saying you did not want to live in Austin.....man......talk about sensitive.

I am glad you own your business, good for you. I respect that a lot. Sounds like you have a Karate studio or something, I think those are really neat businesses.

I see, so you didn't really want to have fun, you wanted to come in and insult me.

I should have realized from the "Let me get in on this too"

Seriously though, don't you think you are being a bit too personal?

Wait, I see your moniker, it has Tmac's old number in it...I see where this is coming from......UGH....

    lol

Could this technically be considered some type of life accomplishment? You could put it on a job application or get into "Who's Who in America" right?
