True, but the ones in East India have been in the news a lot recently.

You are the one that changed the subject to defending Pakistan as some great country that I slandered without any background information. I provide a tiny fraction of the background information and you change the subject again.

    You just repeated my point.

    1. Since those units (101st & 82nd) are U.S. Army, where do you propose that they stage/base for the assault on Pakistan? The supply chain would tend to get rather huge as the invasion eve approached and the basing location is important.

    2. The Marines have the Amphib Forces and since you didn't include them in your suggestion, they wouldn't be used. I guess that the Marines could be put ashore in a neutral location and the U.S. Army could use their equipment for Amphib Assault, but that would require training Army units in Marine techniques. Just sounds awkward to do it like that.

    3. If it was decided to base in India for the assault on Pakistan, then things between India and Pakistan would heat up before the U.S. had its forces in place for the invasion. Not good at all.

    4. If it was decided to stage/base the two divisions in Afghanistan for the invasion of Pakistan, then significant airlift capacity would be required to setup & maintain the supply chain. Pakistan would likely curtail overflight rights by the U.S. to Afghanistan. Yes, the U.S. could force its flights to Afghanistan by winning an air war against Pakistani airpower, but then the war woud be started before the U.S. Army divisions would be in place and it would become more difficult.

    5. There have been several wargame simulations of major war between India and Pakistan. Nuclear weapons attacks do happen in some of those simulations. I don't rmember finding a wargame simulation with a Pakistan versus U.S. scenario, but I would like to read one.

    6. The population of Pakistan is in the neighborhood of 150 million people. The Karachi area alone has a population of over 13 million. Even without a nuclear event , the two U.S. military divisions that you mentioned probably won't have enough manpower for your proposed task.

My conclusion: Your suggestion for the 101st & 82nd being sent into Pakistan to rectify the matter doesn't seem viable.

You're a joke, as much of a joke as Trader_texx, except you take yourself seriously.

re: 82nd and 101st, it's a joke about getting Bin Laden, not a strategic plan for conquering Pakistan. The only things of value in Pakistan are Bin Laden and what George terms "nucular" weapons.

This is it!!!! Bottom line. If you agree to end a war (that was certainly just after you just invaded another country), then you must abide by the things that you agree to or there will be consequences.

I don't think we have any agreement with Uzbekistan that they have to follow "rules" or else.

Curiously enough, none of the Administration supporters has stepped up to the challenge.
