Really? wisconsin is a pretty racist place. I spend a lot of time there and have witnessed a lot of overt racism. Really, outside of Alabama and Mississippi and pockets of Louisiana, there isn’t a more racist or hostile place for minorities than the Midwest. Southern Illinois is as racist as any part of the USA I have been to. Chicago is extremely segregated and Indiana is not tolerant either.

Cincinatti is home to the biggest anual militaria festival for Nazi stuff. If I had to place money southern Ohio, northern Kentucky would be my pick for most racist locale. Steve King was elected in Iowa. St. Louis is extremely segregated. Basically, wouldn't want to be black anywhere in the Midwest.

At least in the South, people know they should be embarrassed of their racist views.

Just based off what I've experienced, almost exclusively in the Wausau/Schofield area in the middle of the state. I'm not saying you're wrong. Just haven't seen it...but that's likely due to there just not being hardly any minorities in the area.

Yes, the Midwest is extremely racist. When I lived in Ohio I was shocked by the amount of racism I witnessed. Living in Chicago now I see it all the time, especially in the suburbs and out skirts of town.

    Do they?

A senator refuses to apologize for joking about ‘public hanging’ in a state known for lynchings
