Listen to the guy who quit in several elimination games? Who got CP3 ran outta Houston because he brought the ball up court? Not smart
Who brought more success to Houston than any other player not name hakeem Who drove a coach out Who has not been hired by anyone else as a coach
yea Silas has been an assistant for entire career we see how that turned out and I prefer not to go this rout again…
If Harden is back my money would be on one of Cassell Udoka Dantoni Kelvin Sampson Nick Nurse he is tight with Cassell, Kelvin Sampson, Udoka and obviously Mike. Nick Nurse is a damn good coach so I would go after him to. It has to be someone experienced
We need a no nonsense, authoritarian type coach that will hold people accountable. That's true for the youngsters and/if we get Harden back.
Every time I see this train of thought I have a good chuckle. I honestly don't think what you're describing truly exists anymore. I agree we need someone who will hold them accountable, but if you put an "authoritarian" coach onto an NBA roster in this day and age the whole damned roster would demand a trade within two weeks.
I don't even know who IO is. I feel like it's going to be obvious when you tell me. But these are initials I have never seen before.
Big difference is Cassell is a Champion NBA player. Silas has no NBA experience. Believe it or not, that does have some merit. Not to mention Sam was a Point Guard. Point Guards tend to understand how to control a game and how to keep tempo better than bigs like Milkhair. But there's tons of examples of great NBA coaches who were former players. Obviously there are good examples of non-NBA players too so I'm not saying being an NBA player automatically makes you a better coach but they tend to have a way of connecting with players when those players can go back and watch their videos and the coach can relate to their experiences because they have been through the fire.
