Owen might be too good for the role. Some no name would miz it up for the series. If he's good enough, it'll fit in perfectly with the spy role.

I think Jackman isn't smooth enough for the role. He's more rugged and athletic than the standard Bond. Owen is a good choice.

Yeah i think he is definitly the best choice of known actors i can think of. And even though he has been in a few popular movies he is hardly an actor everyone is familiar with.

I've seen some of Jackman's girly musical stuff. I guess he's good, though I'm no judge of that kind of talent....all the girls I know love him.

I remember back in 2000 BMWfilms.com made these shorts promoting their new BMW but they were pretty interesting short films in my opinion. Clive Owen played the driver splendidly...Bondlike in a way.

I know Jackman plays a ferrell mutant with claws, but that doesn't make him too rugged for Bond. Like others have said, his background is musicals.

Anyways, I thought I should post pics of the names getting thrown around.

The guy made only one Bond flick(which was one of the best in the series, BTW). His performance wasn't that bad compared to Connery in Dr. No, and he was definitely better than Roger Moore's debut in Live and Let Die.

But what the hell do I know? I actually liked Dalton as Bond.

Ya know, there is all this talk about replacing Pierce Brosnan. Why? He still has the look and plays the character really well. Like Connery, he has the nice mix of style and toughness that is essential for that character.

I dont see why they are in such a rush to kick Brosnan out the door to find someone else. If the Bond films arent reaching their potential it is little to do with Brosnan and more to do with the STORY. And personally I like the most recent movies and they have been HUGE boxoffice hits.

But if they feel a "change" should be made, then perhaps get some FRESH writers to pen a different plot. But keep Brosnan. He still is tremendous in the role and isnt an old geezer the way Moore was in A View to a Kill.

    Awww, now this sucks....

The woman who was playing Moneypenny (actress name was Samantha Bond) has said that since Brosnan officially isn't the next bond, she's not going to be Moneypenny (link).

Damn! I thought she did a great job!
