I cannot believe this bozo won't shut up. He is in so far over his head it isn't even funny. As much as I dislike the Republican party right now, I'm ready for this to end. Where are TJ, basso and chickentexx? Scared to show up?
Honestly, as much fun as it is to watch this epic meltdown, I really wish Steele had not been so monumentally and publicly incompetent. He could have gone on for years damaging the GOP's electoral efforts before they figured out what a loser Steele is.
I, much like basso, think Steele is doing a heckuva a job. Heckuva job. This is just another case of "the man" trying to bring down a successful black man. You go give them playa hatas hell Steele. Rashmon approves.
The funny thing is that I thought Steele was better than your average GOP party hack before all this blew up with Limbaugh. He's proven himself to be decidedly below average as a GOP party hack. Pretty damning that he's head of the RNC. What a rotten ship basso and company have refused to abandon. I hope basso has a life preserver, or at least something good to drink.
Who could have predicted Michael Steele would make a fool of himself in front of every microphone cast his way? (Hint: I did!) Here's Da Man subbing as host for Bill Bennett's radio show... Not me baby! Man, that Steele is so damn cool.

The new face of the republican party keepin' it classy. -- In his radio show Friday, Rush Limbaugh suggested that Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) would be dead by the time health care reform legislation passes.
In fairness, the GOP doesn't exactly have a great track record for grappling with its own mistakes. I say Steele will be reelected to a second term.
Will Newt go crawling back and apologize? -------- Newt Gingrich became the highest profile Republican yet to push back against Rush Limbaugh, saying on "Meet the Press" that it's "irrational" to hope for the President of the United States to fail.
Major props to Newt for having the guts to says this. Props to David Brooks who said too many in the GOP are obsessed with Ronald Reagan. People like Rush Limbaugh who keep bringing up Reagan have their head stuck in the sand and refuse to realize it's a different time now. Reagan was good for his era but he's irrelevant now. The GOP may as well campaign as the party of Lincoln. Brooks also said the spending freeze proposed by Republicans in Congress is insane. This is a direct slap at John Boehner.
