Democrats aren't all in lockstep with one another. Voting no on Prop 8 doesn't make people non-Democrat. I know in your little make believe black-and-white world, you may not grasp that concept of a true open tent party, but so be it. Black voters vote for white democrats all the time. If you actually paid attention to real statistics and information instead of using right-wing nonsense as your guide, you might know that. Try it sometime and educate yourself.

Until Republicans stop doing things like this, and address these kinds of moves by their leadership, it doesn't matter what color the Democratic candidate is, they will get 95% of the black vote.

Neither you nor the GOP leadership has put forth any effort to address this problem. Yet the only reason you can think of that the black vote went to Obama at a 95% rate is because of the color of Obama's skin?

Talk about judging someone based on their race rather than looking at the real issues.

70 years from now, sure enough things can change. But over the next couple of presidential elections it won't. Until the GOP completely remakes itself (which will take a long time), black voters will continue to reject it en mass. How black voters react to Steele isn't going to be interesting because it's very predictable they will reject him. What's interesting is to see how the GOP's "core" reacts to him and whether he has any real authority to change the party. If Steele is just a lackey who repeats the same old platitudes and phrases, his selection will end up being a net negative. If he actually challenges GOP leaders, gets specific about what they need to do to attract black & swing voters and pushes people outside of their comfort zone, he will earn my respect.

    I wish him the best.

Is this how you reconcile a black person's success, by pointing out the white parts?

so now you're saying blacks should like someone because they're black after criticizing blacks all last year because they supported him because he is black.

Oooops. That seems to be more than a violation of the tax code. I don't think he'll be able to remedy that by just paying an extra fine.

one hopes that Obama will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the politically motivated leaking of a confidential sentencing memorandum by the prosecution.

Wow that analogy fails worse than Michael Steele's political career.

    Analogy:

    • an inference that if things agree in some respects they probably agree in others
    • drawing a comparison in order to show a similarity in some respect; "the operation of a computer presents and interesting analogy to the working of the brain"; "the models show by analogy how matter is built up"

kindly highlight the analogy in the statement "one hopes that Obama will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the politically motivated leaking of a confidential sentencing memorandum by the prosecution."

    TIA.

You appear to be trying to make some ****-ass parallel to Scooter Libby that is so bad I can't even figure out what painfully defective argument is being lodged - accordingly you should be the one highlighting why the two cases are similar.

Either you were referring to him or you weren't - honestly nobody gives a damn. Anyway, to the extent you were, it fails epically.
