Don't think Stern's gonna be too happy bout this. After the Brawl at the Palace, I'd say Melo's getting at least 15-20 games for this. See: Jermaine O'neal.

I think it was desmond mason. All I remember from that game was Juwon throwing people around and yelling 'back the f**k up!' Definitely a good guy to have your back.

if Melo gets suspended more than Nate, that would be the most stupid decision the league has ever made (after going to the composite ball and then going back of course)

I agree with u on Isiah. Isiah IS a very dirty guy. I hate him so much. I am pretty sure that he did it on purpose.

btw, do the knicks still have Mo Taylor? I bet u he would've scared the nuggets away with his 400 pounds a$$ :D

LMAO @ NBATV completely ignoring this incident. Of course, not all that surprising considering that it's owned by the league.

yeah it probably would've just been a shoving match between the two of them that would've been broken up in 5 seconds.

There are actually Knick fans out there who are proud of their team for this. Good lord. Thank God I haven't seen any Nugs fans doing the same, and I hope I don't.

You can't take the punk out of Carmelo ... that thing had started to calm down and he threw a sucker-punch and backpedalled faster than Lance Armstrong. I've heard before that guys you think are punks (AI, Anthony) are actually some of the best guys, while guys you think are cool (KG, LeBron) are actually a-holes... but that was clearly a punk move.

I was happy to see Nate get taken down by J.R. Smith. Yeah I know Nate ended up on top, but Robinson has let his "superhuman strength" get to his head. He clearly lit the match in a pool of gasoline by raising his fists.

Man, I think back to that original thread when Isiah Thomas was hired how some of us said it was going to be a disaster ... I mean, damn -- has this been the single worst hire in the history of sports?

Are they STILL ignoring it? I flipped there first, saw they weren't even talking about it, then went to ESPNNews. I agree ESPN was way overblowing the incident, but I don't think they should be blamed for focusing on the biggest star (Carmelo). He clearly was in the wrong.

The fans in the Garden were also cheering the Knicks on and also as the ejected Knick players were leaving the court.

Yao gets called for a "respect the game" technical for yelling after a dunk. Neither player on either team gets called for a "respect the game" technical. The refs hate JVG and the rockets.

I agree with u. this happens so many times and guys just come close to each other, talk ****, stare each other out, then just calm down and that's it. Bobby Sura got in the face of the defender every single time he got fouled and I loved to watch him go at it. it is a normal thing in the NBA. but MR. Midget Nate wanted to escalate the problem and make a big thing out of it (it actually rhymes, Nate and Escalate :D )

remember when we played the knicks and Nate tried to go Jackie Chan on Snyder I think but Tmac pulled him back and lifted him like a little kid? he is just a little guy with attitude problems. did u see him acting like Triple H (from WWE) and showing off his muscles? I just wished Evans was there to kick him in the testicles  (if he has any) :D just to insure that he doesn't get any kids to carry his dirty demeanor

lmao :D
I know this is not funny, but it reminds me of the movie "Major League II" when the Indians get into a fight in the beginning of the season (when they suck) and the commentator (the guy in his undershirt who drinks a lot) gets excited and goes (Hayes delivers a punch right to Richards's face, boy, that must've hurt" then "it seems like Vaughn has his arms a little too low" :D

If Denver is still the front-runner for AI and they need to put together a package with Smith, then there's no way the trade goes down in the next couple of weeks, right? Is there a restriction on suspended players being traded same as with injured players?

Man, can you imagine how crazy that would have gotten if the Nugs had gotten AI earlier this week? The Answer would have kicked the crap out of Nate, for real. Then ESPN would have had Tim Legler jabbering for ten straight minutes about how AI had brought the thug culture to Mile High.

Lol, thankfully the Knicks commentators weren't like that at all. In fact, Mike Breen went on to say how the fans were cheering but really shouldn't have been given what was happening on the court.

There's still nothing about this on NBA TV. Or did I miss it?

There is a big difference between this fight and Detroit.

In Detroit, the players were fighting with fans and even went into the stands. A fight among players usually only gets a 1-2 game suspension unless they tear up the other's face like Kermit/RudyT.

LOL, yeah these bench clearing brawls that happen every 2,400 games or so are really ruining everything.

when was the last big fight like this? pacers/pistons almost two years ago? again, that's like 2400 games played ago. i would guess baseball has more bench-clearers than basketball. yet when it happens in baseball, it's just part of the game. or the pitch that hit the guy that started it is part of the game, and then the rest is just teammates sticking up for each other. nothing is ever mentioned about the game being out of control or going to crap. yet when the nba does it, it's a huge black mark on the league and another reason it sucks. hmmm, i wonder why that is.
