thank you, everyone over reacts to the nba, I'm not defending it, it was an ugly incident, but it wasn't that bad. no where near what happened in detroit. what makes it appear worse than what it was is the main participants kept going.
wow, I know some of you guys hate Isiah, but I don't know how you can blame him for starting this. coaches and players have argued before, its not uncommon.
Chris Sheriden just predicted 4 games for Melo, 2 for Collins, 1 for Robinson. WHAT?!? Thank God for you guys or I'd think I'm insane (or more insane than I actually am). I'm thinking JR getting 5-10, Melo 3-5, Collins 2 or 3 and Robinson gets the most. 10-15 is my guess, but it's uneducated.
Things starts to cool down a bit until Camelo Anthony decides to go WWF and throw a punch at Collins not only that but that p***y ran away like a chicken (c'mon melo, if u wanna fight, fight like a man) I just lost all the respect for Carmelo Anthony, like someone said it be4, he is in no way shape or form in the league of Kobe, Yao, or Wade Collins and Nate deserves as much blame as Melo, they cant take a blowout and went gangsta on the Nuggets, you think we knicks fans will change out view after the brawl?

I don't think the blame lies with Isiah, but with his players (Marty Collins and Nate Robinson in particular). However, I don't know if they had some sort of team meeting before letting the media into the Knicks locker room, but the players were basically quoting Isiah verbatim (that Karl keeping the nuggets stars was a slap in the face to the players, etc).
I am telling you Nate, Mardy and JR will have faded from the story as early as Sunday. It will be all about Melo, to the point that the average sports fan will come away with the impression that Melo sucker punched Collins causing him to flagrant foul JR Smith later. It will be all about Melo form here on out....
What a joke Isaiah Thomas is. After his post-game comment, I can easily see how his team got involved in this. Isaiah blamed the incident on Karl for leaving in his stars, almost smirking at times during the conference. He acted like his players did nothing wrong. IMO, Nate Robinson is the biggest at fault here. JR Smith and Collins were just jawing at each other, and I think it would've stopped there had Nate not come flying in and started it back up. Then Carmelo, being the punk that he is has to get involved. I've always doubted his character and this just proves it.
Sheriden is the one who's insane or out of touch with reality if he thinks that the suspensions are going to be that weak! IMO, the minimum amount of games that each player would be suspended for: Collins: 5 (He had a flagarant foul from the previous game). Robinson: 15. Jeffries: 5 JR: 8. Melo: 10.
I'd flip JR and Melo. IMO, what JR did was worse. Not sure Jeffries gets a suspension. He didn't throw a punch, just chased players. With some of the quotes coming from the Knicks locker room, it wouldn't surprise me if Isiah's getting a suspension at some point.
Yeah, and it usually leads to players doing stupid things. I'm not blaming Isiah, but I can understand why Mardy Collins (reviled by fans for being picked in the first round, trying to make his boss look good, trying to make his boss happy) would throw down a hard foul late in a blowout game after seeing his coach get in an argument with an opposing player. And the post-game quotes from New York's locker room, as has been stated above, aren't looking good for Isiah. And what did all the Nuggets players say? "No comment." There's your difference between Karl and Isiah right there.
Looking at the video, the commentators (especially the the woman) sensationalized the Carmelo punch a whole lot. Melo swung an invisible handbag. Collins fell because he lost his balance. An off-camera teammate was tugging his jersey back while Jefferies came charging behind jumping his weight on Collin's shoulders from behind.
