Gee... I wonder why African Americans tend to vote more often for candidates from the Democratic party?
Last night on Nightline they were following some Romney supporters going door knocking in suburban PA. One of the guys was wearing camo.
This thread is funny. Employers telling employees they might lose their jobs if Romney is not elected is not intimidation, but a black guy standing near a polling place is intimidation? For the inverse, I'd like to see the klansmen out in their robes at polling stations today, and -- to match the inversion of the NBP situation -- in, say, rural white areas (to make sure rural white voters don't get intimidated by the NBP, I guess). A robed klansman is an offense to see all by itself. But, he's impotent at a polling place anyway. He can leer at black people coming to vote, but he'll get arrested if he tries to do anything to anyone. So bring on the black panthers, the kkk, Westboro Baptist Church, UN observers, and anyone else that would like to stand around watching passers-by go in and out of am elementary school to vote.
OMG, he is standing outside the building AND OPENING THE DOOR FOR LITTLE OLD LADIES. INTIMIDATIONZ!!!
damn, they don't even pretend in Philly: http://gretawire.foxnewsinsider.com...gn=Feed:+foxnewsinsider/gretawire+(Gretawire)
LOL.... a snuff video in the making in a snapshot See that poor old man in the back walking right into his death? ZOMG!!! Dey DA KILLAZ Teh Black Panthaz iz killin da blak votaz
What if you didn't see him doing it? Lets say you know he is a Black Panther, and you believe Black Panthers dislike white people, why would a white person feel more comfortable because they opened the door for other black people? Guarding a door to a polling location is something unusual where I am from. Doing so in some sort of military garb (not USA), is concerning. Is he actually guarding something? Is he trying to be intimidating to certain people? I have no idea. I don't know him from the next guy. He may be the nicest guy on the planet, but he might not be.
It's around 40 degrees in PA, and he's wearing a black jacket. He's not wearing military garb. He's not guarding anything either - he's standing near a door. If you went to a random place and there was a doorman, would he scare you?
If members of a group that engage in radical racial rhetoric decide to strut around, in front of a voting location, while wearing military fatigues and berets, and someone doesn't see the obvious voter intimidation that represents, then they have their head buried so far up their ass that further discussion with them on this issue is pointless.
He is smiling at little old white ladies and opening the door for them. He appears to be acting in a very polite manner and I didn't see anything intimidating about his actions at all.
The beret? The outfit is very military-like, and the beret just really looks like it. He is standing in front of a door. It looks like guarding. It is weird. No question about it. If he was dressed like that? I probably wouldn't go in. If he looked like this: I'd assume he was a doorman there to open the door for me. Of course, I wouldn't expect a doorman at my polling place.
every 4 years these same 3 guys show up at one place in Philly (probably paid by Fox) to be blasted all over american so scum like O.P. can have yet another excuse to vote the confederate line.
You can't see those ladies at all. Why do you assume they are white or elderly? They are most likely black (neighborhood), and they are moving fairly well for old people. I agree, he appear polite with them and no longer intimidating once they approach him because he smiles and opens the door for them. Like I said, he could be the nicest guy in the world, but appearance is important in terms of a complete stranger standing between you and where you want to go.
And if they tell you that Obama is a traitor and an uncle tom, and they're doing it in heavily black district, who are they intimidating? Obama voters or Romney voters? You're the guy who is ignoring/refusing to address context - a common symptom of head-in-ass ness.
I don't know if you really meen this towards me or not. If you do mean it, I suggests you read my posts in the Trayvon Martin thread.
I'm really not going at you but stereotyping should not be tolerated. Does it happen? Yes but damnit it's 2012 for crying out loud and the biggest cooks in te last decade have Italian suits and pearl white smiles.
He isn't doing that. He doesn't appear to be saying anything. Is this man effecting the outcome of the election? Not even close. Does it matter who is being intimidated? If people are being made uncomforable by him being there, he probably shouldn't be there.
