Am I the only one who thinks Kentucky can win? I mean 4/5 of their starting lineup will be in the NBA next year and they probably would be already if not for the one-year rule. I think someone earlier mentioned the 2001 Duke team with Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer, Mike Dunleavy, Chris Duhon, Jason Williams and Dahntay Jones. That team could've made the NBA Playoffs in the East THAT YEAR.
No, they wouldn't have. They wouldn't have been even close. You're a moron for even thinking things like that.
That's just absurd. Referring to your sig, hope your philosophizing is much better than your basketball analysis.
Combine this thought (quoted) with the following... - The Nets just lost to 5th seeded Miami by 10 points. - The 5 worst players on the Nets: Boone,Humphries,Simmons,Hayes,Quinn. - No one would be shocked if the Nets beat Minnesota or Washington. To make one final point, the D-League is LITTERED with college stars. They're a dime a dozen, only John Wall stands out with Cousins lagging behind. Devin Harris, Brooke Lopez, Terrence Williams and Yi are lottery picks wit hNBA experience. The difference is SOOOOOOOOOO huge. If there was ANYTHING at stake, the Nets would win by 50.
Well, 5/5 of the Nets starting lineup is in the NBA, as well as their entire bench. This is a ridiculous statement. Only two of those players have ever in their careers become important players on playoff teams and no one in that group could be the best player on a playoff team even in his prime .
Anybody here still dumb enough to think UK could hang with an NBA team? If they didn't get so many easy fast break layups because they are playing against undermanned college squads, they wouldn't seem like such a good team.
They would still be good enough to beat tmac and the Magic. There was nobody on that team, besides t-mac.
If you thought UK was going to beat WVU, you had to be a UK fan, or just not in the know. If Bryant didn't get hurt, this would have been a rout.
Oh please, there is a reason UK had a 3-loss season. We shot 4/32 from the three-point line, and missed two dozen threes before we even made our first one. We would have won the game had we even shot 20% from the perimeter. WVU was the better team tonight, but to say one's "not in the know" to give UK its fair chance is simply arrogant.
Bigger question with UK is why the hell were they even shooting 32 3s. They've been a subpar 3 point shooting team all year. They did what WVU wanted them to do. WVU ran a 1-3-1 zone for a reason since they didnt have any players to match up with Patterson or Cousins and Kentucky decides to be dumb and take the bait. They just quit trying to attack the zone and settled for low percentage outside shots. On top of that they finally played a team with actual transition defense so they couldnt just run their opponent out of the gym. But yea I'd pick UK nine times out of ten but their youth and inexperience reared its ugly head today.
