It is immensely relevant because there are so many people who belive in that fairy tale and even demand trading Harden away on the basis of that false notion. Everybody agrees that Harden needs to improve on D, that goes without saying. But this team's defensive issue is much larger than just one wing player, Dwight's decline as a defensive anchor and our ineptitude coaching staff also have to be part of the conversation.

Another important point that I haven't brought up yet is,

    Houston's defensive rating

    with Harden : 108.4

    w/o Harden : 107.7

Again, it all points to the conclusion that we suck at defense regardless of Harden's presence. Harden certainly can be better as he is not a positive force defensively, but unfortunately the issue is much more complicated than just pointing to a single player to blame all our troubles.

This, we all know that we've won in the past with harden. So anyone thinking logically can't believe its just harden. If harden has always been bad at d then this year has to be due to something, someone else. Dwight s defense numbers are the lowest of his career btw.

We went to the conference finals last season. We barely finished .500 this season and backed into the playoffs only to get smacked in the first round. What changed? We brought back the whole band except Smoove. Harden didn't want Smoove back and so Smoove left. But we brought back everybody else and ADDED a point guard dynamo that Harden wanted to play with. What happened? Oh........coaching sucked all of a sudden. McHale became a different man overnight....right? Wrong, he was the same coach. Same coach running the same system. Doh.......must've been Dwight then. Well we went to the conference finals with Dwight missing almost half the session last year. Yep, Dwight came back and sucked hind tit this year. And McHale and JBB both got hit with a stupid stick over the summer and kept running Dwight out there when dude was obviously sucking and costing us games, right? Wrong, totally illogical.

Guys, the leader of the team came to camp out of shape after jacking off partying all summer. He didn't D up. He didn't hold himself accountable. He blamed everybody else instead of involving everybody else. He took his own private limo to road games and avoided his teammates. He was selfish and immature and sucked in his leadership role and this team cratered around him because of his suckage. I don't care how many points he scored and how many assists he got. He was out of shape, started the season playing lousy, and dig us a hole we couldn't climb out of. He didn't motivate any of the teammates that he had motivated the year prior. And in some cases he demotivated guys with his antics, causing them to not want to play for him.

Harden sucked this last season and his suckage is the sole overwhelming greatest reason why this team sucked this last season.

nope. Dwight's decline was way more significant along with our incompetent coaching staff. JBB was even worse than McFail, which I didn't thought was possible. Also, we had glaring hole in the PF spot and our bench was horrible throughout the entire season. All have nothing to do with Harden whatsoever.

Those three are the main reasons why we sucked this season.

Also blame harden for dmos injury and slow recovery

Blame harden for jsmoove leaving and returning and sucking

Blame harden forc Capela not developing fast enough

Blame harden for Lawson sucking in Houston and Indy

    Blame harden for dekkers injury

And blame harden for Montrez punching a ref

Blame harden too for Mchale and jbbs failure

Jomitt, would you want to trade harden and keep the whole team intact including jbb and d12?

Noted. Now what does everyone else have to do for the Rockets to win a championship?

If you thought James Haren was bad on defense this season, I guarantee you he will be #1 in these rankings next season when D'Antoni is the coach.

And if he weren't, you can be sure that a vocal faction would argue that the eye test would prove otherwise, regardless of what all your numbers say.
