That's a question best left for the offseason at this point. Or the trade deadline, if there is high draft pick or a potential key piece to a future championship caliber team to be had in a trade, one that makes it worthwhile to compromise the current season. Right now, it's a matter of finding the right combination to maximize the current group of players and coaches, get out of the present rut, and take it as far as they can go. If Josh Smith's volatility ends up being the necessary cog to this imperfect engine, so be it.
Or a system that compliments his skill set. Smith is a PF. Stan was playing him as SF. No surprise he comes here as a playmaking PF & flourishes. Having a disciplinary coach has nothing to do with anything
why dont more fans know that he was forced to be a shooter in detroit. when he went to the rockets he didnt need to be a primary shooter. when you force someone like smith to be one of your main shooters, you got bad problems.
