4 year college player, nothing raw about him, game is mostly complete but could use some tweaks and experience, so I imagine he's not far from reaching his peak. Top 60-80 at best, career glue guy/wing defender, probably starter calibre into his 30's.

I watch every game. I think he's a decent player, but his lack of athleticism and offensive moves hold him back. And considering he was a four year college player and played in a major conference I would say his upside for improvement is a lot less than other players.

I think it's funny every response you write to me just asks if I watch the games. I see major holes in his game. At his current price he's a steal. If he gets starter type money it won't end well for us.

Have you watched how much he needs to wind up on his release? He's not athletic enough to have that kind of hitch.

don't back track, you said Parsons offense is horrid.. it obviously isn't.

and even if he doesn't improve one bit from now on, he would still be a legit starter on any team just because he is super versatile.

I was amazed at his improvement as a FT shooter. Throughout college and his first year as a pro, he was kind of awful. Don't know what he did over the summer, but it worked. Usually players that have such a history of poor shooting don't improve.

It's not a myth, last year was Parsons' rookie year, you think he won't improve just being 1 year older, getting used to the NBA and having a full summer camp to work on his game?

He just isn't as efficient this year because unlike last year he's being expected to be a vital part of the offense. Regardless, Parsons is still the 2nd most valuable player on the team after Harden, simply because do-it-all/glue guy SFs like him who are not going to cost a ton are hard to find.

Personally, I think Parsons is as untradeable as Harden right now. You're never gonna find an SF better than LBJ or KD, so trying to get your own franchise SF will just be putting you at a disadvantage. However, you can just put your money at another position, and then have Parsons at the SF spot for much cheaper. He won't be as good as LBJ/KD, but he'll do a decent job at that spot for just 5-10M a year.

I asked you if you watch the games because you said his offensive game is horrid, which just isn't the case. It's hard for me to understand why you would think that.

He needs to improve just like all young players and I'm sure he will. His shooting can improve a lot for one. If you watch him shoot not all but most of the time when he is shooting bad he is always falling back on his 3 point shot and when he is going up and coming straight down he is a lot better. That is an easy fix and I'm sure that somebody has to be telling him that, it's just a matter of time until he gets consistent on his shot.

Hitch in your shot? It doesn't matter what kind of ability any player has they shouldn't have a hitch in their shot.

Can he demand more money while under contract?

He's 30x smarter than he was last year. And his new and improved "fundamental" part of his game shows it. Who cares about stats? You can SEE he's improved, so much. And that is why he's our Chandler BANG! Hahahaha. So much respect for Chandler, he's just so crafty and smooth that sometimes you really don't know what he's going to do. I hope he continues to get better and better. If he could GAIN weight with MUSCLE, imagine how beastly and unstoppable he would be? Will this ever happen? Or will he always stay Mike Miller type/skinny?

the myth of chandler parsons is that he's not the white lebron james, but rather that lebron james is the black chandler parsons

I got this info from NBA.com. He's no longer the worst after having a huge game in that category last night.

Really???? Seriously????How can anyone complain about Parsons?????? He is the the quintessential glue guy every team needs. He will never be a superstar but he doesn't have to be. He does the little things to impact games and always has to guard the opposing teams best player. He has an unselfish and fundamentally sound game. All this from a frickin 2nd round draft pick. How can anyone EVER complain about that???

No doubt hes improved, mostly on offense. His defensive regression I dont think is that severe (I do think that part of him was a bit overrated, he was a good defender but not Battier level.) Hes probably had to be TOO versatile on d this year guarding anyone from point guards to Tiago Splitter in the low blocks when playing small ball. Hes dependably average player. More than you can say about plenty 2nd year players even. And he'll step now and then with a big game and big shots, its what you want from a #3-4 option on offense

Chandler is great value, but look at the advanced stats. He has one of the worst adjusted plus/minus numbers on the entire team.

Both the offense and defense do better per 100 possessions when he is OFF the floor. Same goes for all their power forwards.

Small forward and PF are by far the weak links on this team, based on analytics.

Seriously, his attitude is such a huge thing for whatever team he is on. (Hopefully houston forever) Definitely a team player and not afraid to step up for big shots and plays.
