That's a start at least. Well, add "on the court" then. If we are being literal, sure, home town. But if we use a broader definition: "Being blindly devoted to your favorite sports team wether they are good or not." It could apply.
No kidding. People are making points with so much spin and slant its like a merry-go-round seesaw Have already set the record straight about the Grizzlies playing "better" D on Durant than the Rockets, thats just NOT true and I hope thats not used anymore (so far in 2 games, things can change) And Derek Fisher against Rockets was red hot shooting. Against the Grizzlies, he's even MORE SCORCHING HOT shooting. Averaging MORE points How come the Reggie Jackson example counts so much, but Derek Fisher doesnt? Shouldnt the great Grizzlies D have some effect against Fisher too, how comes he's getting better against them? All in all, there's STILL some series left to be played. Reggie Jackson could get better, he could get WORSE. Durant might go up another level, he might get neutralized. It doesnt seem to matter much in regard to Beverley anyway. Its Beverley didnt rotate to the shooters enough and thats that he's suspect on D. Very well then.
Lin "might" have a OUTSIDE shot at 8 assists. Per-36/min Lin averaged 6.8 assists. Nash 7.4 assists per-36 Nash assisted on 32.8% of his team's shots, Lin on 29.4%, thats the main difference. (In New York, Lin averaged 8.3 assists per-36 assisting on 41% of shots, so he is capable) Lin would need to have the ball a lot more. And a Dwight Howard effect would have to be MAJOR. I just don't see the ball coming out of Harden's hands that much more, especially when he's considered maybe the "best" pick-n-roll player in the NBA. And its hard to not play that susceptible defender Patrick Beverley after he's shown he can have a positive effect on the game, so that can cut into Lin's minutes. Lin might get into the mid 7's and can call that a success.
I think Harden should play less minutes. There is really no reason to play him 40+ mpg during regular season. He should play around 36 minutes so he don't get burned out by the end of the reason. Remember how Harden was garbage end of the season?
Don't have to go far. even within Christian, "While this has sometimes given rise to the idea that Christians consider God to be male,[citation needed] the majority of Christian denominations (with the notable exception of Mormonism) accept a God who transcends gender." --wiki Don't mean to get into this at all, I was just joking in my original post.
I dont think Lin will play 35, more like 30 because he has a capable back-up in Beverley that can come in and play high energy ball pressure defense on opposing guards. Of course dynamics can change depending on player performance and injuries.
Unbelievable how ridiculous this belief is. Another disciple of the church of Lin who tarnishes the credibility of all the sane Lin fans out there. If only the people who love to harp on every post deemed to be "hate" of Lin would jump on the terrible posts like this were and point out that they do nothing but to perpetuate the "Lin fans don't know basketball" stereotype.... Guess a man can dream.
This is really idiotic. He played such high minutes as not having a reliable scorer or finisher really. Getting DH12 would relieve some of the stress as more PnR and such will be greatly efficient.
~lol~ I know what you're talking about. I have thought about doing it but unfortunately just not motivated enough. I guess it's cuz I do believe that homerism is kinda cute. On other hand, it's not THAT ridiculous. Who knows, it's the first year for Harden to start. He seems to be stat conscious in that run of 14 consecutive games scoring 25 or more. He might not be above it.
He was shooting a high percentage as well as high TS% during that run. Wasn't trying too hard to get it, and i think if he was really conscious about some stat he would be forcing it more. And he only played around 40 minutes for only maybe 3 games in that stretch.
If you added Dwight Howard, there would be a hell of a lot more garbage time games, especially if you upgraded at pf as well.
If all our starters end up playing fewer minutes next season, that would be great. Realistically, we should see some development with our rookies and with Beverley solid coming off the bench, it should happen.
