    Well thats different.

Kind of like a number one draft choice versus a first overall pick.

Stay in your lane you so-called Rockets lover. The best case scenario was the fact that fat boy left our organization, and what we may get in return for the future of Rockets basketball

Everyone will say that the Rockets are better off without James Harden in the future
He will eventually be responsible for the assets that the Rockets need to be a dynasty

If going to Dream, then dream bigger.

    Wood + 23 + 24 + EGo for #1 + 2 SRP.

    Porter - Cade - Mobley - Tate.

    Agreed.

I would love to see the Rockets explore getting #3 but it's not likely they could pull it off. Cleveland is rebuilding just like the Rockets.

Just for fair value alone, it would likely take Wood, #23, #24 and a future pick or picks, plus maybe take back an unsavory salary. You are talking about acquiring a cost-controlled potential superstar.

One of the big problems with the Rockets right now that I see --> They don't have the win-now players playing up to or above their contacts that could be valuable to trade. You could target teams in the 10 to 18 range pretty easily if you did.

    Get’r done…. Stonehenge!!

Let's just keep Wood, add J. Green/Mobley, and leave all 2021 and future picks intact.

Like @Clutch said - in order to trade Wood and draft picks, it's only going to attract the 10 through 18 range - which isn't worth it.

Would you take back Kevin Love? Trying to recuperate value on the two worst contracts in the league would be fun.

i would question the valuation on far in the future picks...
i think the 2027 hou/bkn pick will be more valuable - but idk about its value today.
i cant imagine many GMs are secure enough in their position that they would give tangible asset(s) today for a pick 6 years out...
just my opinion... i could be wrong... lol

That would be a really bad idea. We most likely still suck next year. Do we really want to be the stupid team that donates the cavs Chet Holmgren or Banchero? I don’t want to be that stupid team tho

I'd rather have Wood + 23 than Mobley.

Typically, when we've had multiple picks in the past - we whiff.... like in '98 (still cant believe we took Drew and Turkan over Rashard Lewis...smh)....

This whole concept of getting all these draft pick players and expecting it to meld into a team seems unlikely - too much hit or miss on draft picks...

Do your due diligence... narrow it to 2 or 3 prospects over the next couple years - and use the other assets on known commodities...

Most draft picks return a player that ends up being worth far less than the pick was worth...

Blowing all our assets on a bunch of scratch off tickets doesnt seem very wise... take a few shots - but get some more proven commodities back...

    imo...

Nvm. I wrote some stuff about a potential Cleveland trade but just found some things saying they may be shopping Sexton, in which case they would be much less likely to trade us #3 for a reasonable price.

That's pretty risky, we could have the same chance for a top 3 pick in 2023.

I'm not sure people realize that wood has no future here.

He does not fit our timeline.

He has no value to the Rockets for the next two years as we are bottoming out.

His value is solely as a trade asset.

Keeping him, expecting him to resign for max in two years, while sabotaging our draft position is horrible asset management.

He needs to be moved asap, and absolutely no later than the trade deadline.
