No question about it. Plus, when you go to spring training, you have an opportunity to get alot closer to the players than you would during the regular season. It is a really fun atmosphere, and nirvana if you are a big baseball fan.
IMHO, signing day for college recruits takes the cake. Maybe I'm biased because I'm not much into the college scene, but I really don't get the hype of the event. I especially hated the time they spent on the radio leading up to the event speculating on where the HSers will sign.
"Country guys"? Grow up Why have you and pgabs chosen baseball and NASCAR to pick on today? Any ideas?
I guess you are implying that I am racist because I used the word "country" to describe the group that I think NASCAR is and you know that I am a minority? If that's what you want to call it but my father, who loves NASCAR above every other sport except University of Arkansas athletics, is black and he too is about as "country" as they come. Hell comedians, newscasters, and even other people on this board have said stuff about NASCAR before in the same way I did so lighten up.
Because its Spring Training and I find the hype annoying. But maybe its pick on sports with majority white athletes day and no one told me.
The Westminster Dog show. The dam dogs look exactly the same every year and that foofy dam poodle always wins.
Gotta be the final four. I mean, c'mon.. every other sports championship game is its most well known event.. but for college, it's the final four..
I don't even pay much attention to College Basketball, but when it's time for March Madness I'm hooked. It's one of the best things in sports period.
far and away the best annual sporting event. baseball is my first love. but the field of 64 is just amazing every year.
