Sane, I agree with you on Carter v. McGrady. I've spent a lot of time in Toronto and got to see them both play there. Toronto's been my favorite team in the East since they came in. He was one unhappy camper his first year there. Far from home. Cold as the dickens all season. And he got almost no PT. Mighty Mouse, Walt Williams and Carlos Rogers were all there back in the early days of the franchise. They played in the baseball stadium in an area set aside for basketball. It was a weird venue. There was almost no NBA coverage in the media. Hockey really rules up there. But even early in his career, you could see that TMac was destined to be special. This year was his breakout year, and you have to wonder if it would have been if Duncan had gone there and Hill had remained healthy. ------------------
I would take him as well, but that does not mean he is not overrated. I feel that peja is overrated because i doubt his ability to consistenyl create his own shot. I beleive he needs someone else to feed off of to get his shot off and score. TIM DUNCAN OVERRATED???!! Jesus, he was awesome this year.. it takes 2 full years to get to 100% with the knee injury he had. I know he had a bad first few games of the season or so, but he was a madman the rest of it. The Spurs just got hit by a steamroller in the WCF. Robert Horry is an experienced defender who helped Dream make the 93-95 Rockets great defensive teams. I do agree with you that Cat is a little underrated on here.. People might have been harder on him this year since the Rockets didnt get that far. However, he does not quite have the athletic ability that Steve does. In my opinion, Francis will always be just a little better than Cat. From now on, we should consider the two as one. The most overated has to be Tracy Mcgrady. One day hes a nobody the next day people say the next Jordan. People think he is so good but hes not much better than Lamar Odom. His shot isnt that good. The most underated player has to be Theo Ratliff in my opinion I think Hes one of the top5 defensive centers in the NBA. He also can score and get to the hoop. ------------------
