I can't believe you left out Denny Blaze. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TXb6bjCCtuY&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TXb6bjCCtuY&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

The most important is what you asked, so.... The Beastie Boys. And it's not even close. Hip hop/rap had been well-established by the time Eminem came around. He still has some of the best flow I've heard from any rapper, but he didn't do for rap music what the Beastie Boys did. 3rd Bass was good, but they didn't get the street cred from other rappers of the day - several wanted them to basically disappear. Oddly enough they and the Beastie Boys had a long-running feud between each other.
You are taking important to mean, important to future white rappers. But what I meant was important in the sense of music in general. That in 50 years which of these white rappers are going to be seen as the greatest artist. It still may be the Beastie Boys because they were there almost from the beginning.
Anyone that doesn't vote for the Beastie Boys is either: a. - Too young to remember when they came on the scene and totally changed the landscape of music b. - Deaf
Debbie Harry, the first white rapper. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-d63XLoM5C0&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-d63XLoM5C0&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Kid Rock...seriously? It doesn't matter how many instruments he plays...he is not important in the grand scheme of music or hip hop. This thread is the first time I've even heard/acknowledged his name in years. Not to mention...he SUCKS! IMHO, of course. I don't like Eminem either, but I give it to him. He brought hip hop back to the suburbs, helped make Dr. Dre relevant again, gave 50 an avenue into the mainstream, and even brought some quality rap to the mainstream. That said, I wasn't around for the Beastie's run, so I can only read about their impact.
Although Vanilla Ice isn't the -most- important white rapper, he certainly deserved a place on the poll. Even though he's a joke to a lot of people, he had a big impact at the time.
In the past 5 years the most influential white rapper has been The Streets from the UK. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NHOf3s70w-c&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NHOf3s70w-c&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Nobody can even be included in the same conversation with the Beastie Boys. The question includes "Most Important." That said, I really liked 3rd Bass...
It's a no-brainer, the Beastie Boys. I don't think Kid Rock will have any memorable songs 10 years from now. Maybe 1 at the most.
yeah, eminem is very relevant whether you like him or not. Wasn't a fan but I have to admit, 8 mile made me look at him in a different light. The soundtrack really proved to me that he has a real love for the music. the battling over the "shook ones" track is classic.
