20 replys and nobody has said "Rafer-Mac-Shane-Scola-Yao", the starting lineup that was ravaging last year until Yao injury.

    Statistically I will go with:

    Rafer
    Tmac
    Artest
    Landry
    Scola

Having said that I think from night to night it will vary. The five I listed above will be strictly by the numbers the best but far from the only lineup that will finish games. Some nights Yao will drop 35/15 and look like an MVP on steroids. Some nights Shane will go 6 for 7 on threes and get 40 minutes of action.

I think players 1-9 are vital in an 82 game season but my list of 5 is who I expect to be "the best" among stat freaks.

I was telling my dad about a lineup I would like to see attempted just for five minutes to see how it worked and if it worked use it against the big physical teams.

    TMac
    Artest
    Battier
    Landry/Scola (doesn't matter)
    Yao

Everyone is 6'7" or taller. TMac would have a mismatch on the PG both ways, Artest would have mismatch both ways, Battier, PF and Yao would have normal matchup. We would clean the glass, be able to drive at will with TMac and Artest and still be athletic enough to defend every possession.

Like I said I would just like to see it used once for 3-5 minutes and see how it works out. Obviously this lineup can't be used when the other team has super quick guards. So when Tony Parker or Chris Paul are our opponents don't run it because they would blow by TMac but I think it would be great against a team like Utah. Deron wouldn't be able to power drive on T-Mac (I would actually put Artest on him) and then TMac and Artest would be able to drive on Deron or whatever else guards they run out there.

As far as most effective regular lineup that has a shot of actually being run often ...

    Rafer
    T-Mac
    Artest
    Landry
    Yao

Would differ from day to day. but given a chance.. I would go small..
    Rafer
    T-Mac
    Artest
    Scola
    Landry
and run a smooth offense that can run like crazy!

This would be the most productive on both ends- Provided T-Mac stops taking those LAME jump shots!

Of course you need Yao when we have opponents with big centers.

You've got to be kidding me! Dorsey should be the center and Head the SF. Make those changes then it's time to dominate.
