I remember when I used to be able to watch college basketball, and say 'When I get that old, I'll be able to do that stuff.' When I could no longer say that with a streight face, I decided I was officialy old.

Also, I just got back from Spec's. I was looking around @ Cab Sav's and Ports that I remember being described as 'full of potential, heavy tannins' now being described as 'a classic, ready to drink.'[/] That was pretty humbling. Of course, when I start reading about the '91 Pomerol wines getting a bit old, then I'm going to consider phoning Mr. Kevorian.

When I first started watching the NBA, the players seemed so old.

Now, the players are my age. That's old.

I will have to post it here when it happens. I am 27, and I have noticed that I have slowed down in a few little ways. Like I heal slower now, but I am so very much still a kid. Sure I now shave my head because otherwise I look old, but whatever. I used to date 20-22 year olds back when I was 17-22, and now I have dated 21-24 year olds ever since. I think that means I now date younger women, but would you change that?? If you say yes your nuts.

Anyway keep on living life. Its a hell of a lot of fun dont you think??

    Peace

I'm only barely 20, but I've had a few "old" moments.

I felt old when my brother and his friends started driving, a day I never thought would come.

I felt a little old coming back to U of H for my second year (and then becoming a junior the end of that semester).

I felt old when Lynus and I were out the weekend before he left and we made all these plans to go to lunch and see a movie and go shopping and after lunch, all either of us wanted to do was take a nap.

I feel old knowing that teenagers will very soon no longer be from the 80's.

And finding a grey hair. Yes, I'm only 20 and I've had one. It was really weird!

I've made Lynus feel old too...

He was alive when Elvis was alive and finding that out tripped me out.

I've only lived through 4 presidents.

I have no memory of the Challenger crashing (although I knew of it and talked about it a lot according to my family, especially since my dad works at NASA)

    I remember records a little, but what's an 8-track (although I know now) ;)

Star Wars is older than I am.

I'm his first 20 year old girlfriend!

I remember He-Man and She-Ra. I had action figures. I remember Tom and Jerry too.

(hope I didn't make any of you feel old)

Wow. We became parents for the first time only about 2 weeks apart. My first child was born on February 2, 1989.

I didn't feel old when he was born, though. Of course, I was only 17.

He and his little brother make me feel old now, though. I think about things I did when I was 13 or 9 (my younger son's age) and realize how long ago that really was.

But then to feel younger, I just hang out with the parents of kids my older son goes to school with. They are always at least ten years older than I am.

But I'm pretty immature for my age, so I don't usually feel very old.

The day that I realized that I could never again use hard drugs, I became an old man. Happy to be one, too.

Also, when I realized that I was playing more strategy-based video games, and fewer 1st person shootemup games...I knew I was getting older.

Just last night I was watching 24 and thinking to myself, "I remember seeing Kiefer Sutherland play high school kids. Now he's playing the father of a high school kid."

Also, seeing the sons of sports figures who I used to root for coming up through the ranks ... the Mike Dunleavys ... Milt/Dajuan Wagner ... the Moses Malones ... George/Gee Gervin ... the list goes on and on.

Damn, every new post reminds of another way I feel old.

I coach my son's Little League baseball team, and I use my "Bonds autographed glove"....Bobby Bonds, that is!!!!

Like IVFL I just don't got the moves all of the time anymore. I am sure it has to do with my "extra skin". I have flashbacks but not near the past playing level. I play hoops on Tuesday nights (full-court 5 on 5) and I don't recover until Friday or Saturday. I can remember when I was a Freshman/Sophmore/Junior in High School we played hoops 3-4 hours every freaking day. No Pain the next day. Damn I feel old.

I remember some of the 80's. I can remember Challenger. So sad. My dad taped the news and when I came home from school he showed me and I was stunned. I can remember the Berlin Wall coming down. I remember two sporting events from 1985. The Bears losing on Monday night to the Dolphins (only loss) and then I remember them creaming the Patriots.

I also remember when "Thriller" from Micheal Jackson came out. I don't remember the 1984 Olympics or really anything else big from the 1980's. I do remember He-Man, Gi-Joe - they were a little before my time. My cartoons were Transformers and Thundercats. Star-Wars was way before my time. My first Back to the Future was Part III(at the theatre) but I love all three.

I don't go out to bars/clubs etc. I just don't enjoy paying to breathe smoke and drink overpriced beer. I only get stupid drunk on New Years/Birthday. My highlight of the week is staying up late to watch Saturday Night Live. I watch a lot of History Channel and Discovery Channel.

I have been doing the 9-5 gig since late 1997. I have an 18 month old son, married, looking for a house. Oh, I will be 23 on JULY 21ST.

I still feel young though sometimes though. I still think I can do something with my life...

I love watching the Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, Futurama. I also watch Elmo, Barney, Rolly Polly Ollie and Stanley's World(awesome show!) with my son of course. The kids make you feel old and young at the same time. I will definitely feel old when I take my son to Rocket's games and relive the Rocket's history.

What make me feel really freaking old is "The Real World 11" I started watching Season 2. Damn.

I have vivid memories of that. I was a sophmore at Clear Lake High School, and the children of several of the astronauts that died attended our school. Teachers had to come get them out of class, and there were reporters outside our school. A lot of NASA people lived in Clear Lake so the whole community was pretty upset.

I think the time that stands out most for me was when my 9 year
old son and I were watching one of the ESPN "classic" football games
and he asked me if I went to college with any of the players. What
bothered me most was that the game was in black and white.
30 never felt more like 50.

Kagy: However, I fear that none of these things was as strongly indicative of Old Fart Syndrome as excitement over a dining room table and four chairs being delivered.

Damn, I was having a good morning, you young fogey. I was resentful when we got our first dining room table when I was 40, an heirloom from my grandmother that needed 2,000 to rehab and turned into a lawsuit with the rip off artists that gave it a first attempt.

I'm stuck with it. My wife loves it and also I can't get rid of it because my sisters are envious of it and it could lead to sororicide? if I gave it to one of them.

Every since we have had to restrict our house hunting to places that can handle the monster, its chairs and buffet. The dining room is the biggest waste of space in a house.

That $2,000 spent on the monster and 225 sq feet or so of useless space it occupies, would sure be a nice addition to the space and elecronics in the den where anyone normal hangs out.

I'm surprise no one has brought this up (maybe it's just me), I felt old when I didn't like any of the music that was playing on the radio. That was when I was around 25. Before that, music was my love, even over basketball.

Treeman & Behad, that is funny, because I am the other way around. I used to enjoy strategy-based game when I was younger, now I prefer those "mindless" blow them up shooting games.
