This skit is bread and butter for politics. The only caveat is that these shows do it for both parties. Which is all the better for the corporate masters to appear unbiased.

I don't see how this is the root of all that's wrong in politics. It goes a bit deeper.

Who knows how long this will last?

This is why News, Opinion, and Entertainment need to be clearly separated.
They should all have have their own set guidelines, adhere to them, and label themselves accordingly. Adult people should be able understand the differences.

FAUX needs to put a laugh track on their news so when that hate-looking brunette chick says something racist they could put a big laugh after it. Then she become Archie Bunker and everyone just loves and understands Archie.

Can't separate speech through legal means. That was one of the conservative complaints driving against campaign finance reform, where news and entertainment media not sponsored by political groups was tipped towards a "liberal bias".

It's just that with almost all media companies are majority owned or controlled by a few number of families, the bias is mainly about not drawing negative attention wore pushing views that don't alienate many groups or are sterile and generic

I wonder if Colbert can keep this up content or ratings-wise.
