ps. I'd like them to be dead last, get the 1st pick and have Cubes completely whiff on his pick.

Maybe Morey can bait them into trading Barnes for Ryan Anderson. Anderson is white, has a 40%+ 3pt shot and is a stretch 4...he's practically Dirk! Dirk 2.0 for Barnes please.

As far as the Mavs sucking goes, it doesn't really matter if they get a top pick or not, as we can see now with Minny and Philly even having a generational talent like KaT or Embiid won't yield immediate results it takes around 5 years if all the stars align before your crappy team blossoms. Very few players have been able to instantly impact their team's winnings afaik only Tim Duncan, Lebron, Shaq and Melo have done it post Hakeem era. The Macs problem though is they have been living in denial all this time and have loaded their team with vets, apart from Barnes and maybe Wes Matthews none of their guys will still be able to contribute significantly when their rookie starts blossoming 3-5 years from now. And that's assuming they hit a homerun in their pick. That's why I think Cubes trading the pick next year for an instant impact vet (Cousins?) is a real possibility, let's see what happens to them.

He's got a ring, don't feel too bad.

Now 2 - 10, with Spurs, Clips and Cavs up next. Oh noes.

No perfectly serious Barnes as a PF would provide the same "stretch" that Anderson does but he is also a good defender and decent 1-on-1 scorer. And he can actually help carry the team when Harden is off I think he's the type of guy who will really shine as a PF alongside Harden and the uptempo Houston offense.

The joke is that Cuban broke up a championship team to not get locked into veteran contract deals, but being even worse (perennial 1st round fodders) and then becoming a high lottery team without doing anything in between and not getting any young talents developed.

Wesley Matthews isn't likely to be ever the same. Parsons left with no compensation. Yes, they got a good albeit one dimensional player in Barnes, but that could have still happened without them breaking up the championship team and wasting Dirk's remaining prime years.

Trade Dirk to Rockets for Brewer's contract. It's the only thing that might solve this.

Yeah. I'd take it a step further and say they are strategically tanking in order to get and trade the pick.

We as rockets fans need to stand together and understand that we all have equal hatred for the Dallas Mavericks. We may have different views on how to best go about inflicting maximum pain and suffering on them, but at the end of the day, we all share a common goal, and that is to see as many Youtube videos of that mavs fan in a mask screaming his head off in agony.

I want them to suck but not suck enough to get an all star draft pick.

    This x 1000...

bogut can eat a dick. i'm ecstatic he's miserable!

that being said, if he's to be bought out, i hope the rockets could offer him a roster spot...would anchor the defense incredibly

oh and cut ennis and sign barea as well.

I still can't figure out why the Mavs are sucking so bad?

A front office that maxxed consecutively Wes Mathews, Chandler Parsons and then Harrison Barnes surely cannot be to blame??
