Not surprised, just annoyed that the Rockets fired Calvin and couldn't do any better than Bullard and Drexler. What a disaster. They're not even just bad, they're seriously horrible. Unless they're going to get a real pro with real color experience who has some chemistry with Worrell, they need to bring Calvin back.
agreed. bring back van. clyde made me uncomfortable. made me feel like he was gonna say something stupid. plus hes too big to stand next to bill. bring back van or just leave bill by himself. or pick out a random fan every quarter or something. Drexler is absolutely terrible. His voice, his comments, his inflection. Nothing interesting to say, and it all sounds awkward. Bullard may be dry, but Drexler is much worse. Not to mention that it really chaps my ass that he is not willing to do the road games. If you want the job, do the whole job, Clyde. Oh, and try not to suck at it.
Bull and Drexler add zero. Mayonnaise on white bread. Iceberg lettuce. Why not just go to hot girls in skimpy costumes, if you don't give a crap about telling the viewer what's going on. A great color commentator enhances the drama in the game. He makes you care. I don't give a $qwt what Bullard or Drexler say. They are alien androids. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I've never thought much of Bullard as a color guy. Drex did okay for his first time but here's hoping he improves a lot. My favorite moment of preseason Game 2? Drexler: They are BALLS OUT hustlin'. Worrell: Yep, er, uh... Francis brings the ball up court... Hey, who doesn't like getting "balls" on network TV, especially out of the Glide's mouth? Hm. Actually, strike that sentence. Calvin coming back would be ideal. I miss Van, too... sheesh. I grew to like that drawlin' sumbitch.
I cant believe iam saying this but I miss Van saying "Tracy McGracy for a 3 bawl". Bullard is ok but Clyde has got to go. Iam so glad the Rockets have alot of games on national TV.

I knew somebody else would catch this. I heard his says Balls out hustle and I was like, uh did he just say that and starting laughing my @$$ off.......I just never would have pictured a commentator saying balls out on TV. I bet the Rockets told him something about that....Maybe for the next game he might say "He's hauling ass down the court"....hahahahahaha
