Dear LOF, Jeremy Lin is not you. You are not Jeremy Lin. His success is not your success. Neither are his failures. Critique about his game, his abilities, his potential, is not a critique of you. There's no need for you to be so defensive. I am Jack's raging bile duct.
He actually is better offensively as a PF. He is also better defensively as a power forward. If you watched the Knicks last year they played him primarily at the PF spot for that reason & the Knicks had considerable success with him in that role. Stats & the eye test back this up.
Good to excellent PF in the offensive side depending on who's defending him but defensively, the worst. He's just fortunate to play with Chandler so some of his mistakes defensively were covered.
He also demonstrated he can't play well with others, and wants to be the focus. How well do you think that will go when he knows he has to share spotlight with Harden and Dwight? As a Knicks fan, I can tell you that if you get him, you will be guaranteed NOT to win any championship so long as he is here. He's a consummate ball hog, and wants to be regarded as a leader, without having to do the work of being a leader. He's Kevin Durant without the leadership ability, he's Lebron with the ability to score but without the ability to facilitate an offense or share the ball.
You mean he's going to lose two dollars worth of clicks on banner ads and 800 pages of Jeremy Lin posts on his ISP?
That's awesome. Barely watched but kept hearing that Melo had a career year last season, probably won't be repeated this year tho. Still, no thank you. Unless the Rockets' goal is to run JLin out of town.
Yikes... I was assuming that whoever dropped Melo's name was just being an ass. I hope nobody actually thinks that would work.
This made me laugh. Both good points though. We are all just fans and we take things too personally sometimes.
