Nene, Chandler not better than Hayes? Lets get real here. Id take them two over Gasol and Dalembert over Hayes preferably keeping both. .

    1. Gasol is restricted

    2. Deandre Jordan is restricted

    3. In what world is Hayes better than Nene and Chandler?

I have a feeling marc Gasol will be a beast in the future and in all honesty he already is the 2nd best center in the NBA. I'd throw as much money as it takes to get him. You guys that would rather have nene are on crack.

He may not become a "beast", but I've said since last year his game and production will grow when he's separated from Z-Bo.

The problem with Gasol is that he's a restricted free agent. In order to get the cap room necessary to just sign him, we'd have to use the A) renounce Hayes's Bird rights, B) use the Amnesty Clause on Thabeet, and C) possibly dump the salaries of Hill/Williams/Flynn by bribing other teams with picks. Now, all of that simply opens up the space to sign him to an offer sheet, and there's no guarantee that Memphis won't match it. Meanwhile, as we wait for Memphis to decided whether or not to match, our cap space will be tied up, and Nene/Chandler could very well end up signing with other teams. And if Memphis does match the offer sheet, we will have lost Hayes, our Amnesty, and a few young players all for nothing.

I'd rather have him than Nene.

That said, neither acquisition will happen.

13 playoff games, against meaningful competition...

    15 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals, 2.2 blocks

Yes, his minutes were up meaningfully, but his production was great. He's yet to be injury prone. He's young and improving. He's huge and uses his size to seemingly anchor anchor a defense in much the same way Yao did, despite not posting eye popping block numbers. And he does so without getting into meaningful foul trouble.

I can see the argument for Nene or Gasol. Chandler I would definitely pass on - strange being he was a key cog in the last NBA champion, but he's so up and down, and giving him a lot of money doesn't seem strike me as the type of thing that would motivate him to perform better.

the Grizz are up against the cap, if nothing else force them to pay top dollar.
historically they are cheap franchise, so I have a hard time seeing them carrying 3 max players..
