Johnny Cash was someone I liked a lot...He was my Dad's favorite artist and these memories of his music reminded me so much of him...More than that, he was his own man who didn't follow trends and made music that sounded original and cool. RIP
The only country musician effectively sampled by a rap group (Beastie Boys, Paul's Boutique, High Plains Drifter). His music transcended all genres, colors, and generations. Good Picture Here I never liked the NIN song "Hurt" until he redid it. RIP Johnny
also in "Hello Brooklyn" I shot a man in brooklyn "just to watch him die" Live at folsom prison is one of my personal all-time favorite albums. Also, his duet with Bob Dylan "Girl of the Noth Country" is beautiful. Johnny died of a broken heart, in my opinion. said cash when he lost his wife, june carter, "The pain is so severe there is no way of describing it," he said. "It really hurts." The Man in Black will be missed
It's all Cash all the time at the B-Bob household for the forseeable future. His was the first music I can remember hearing. How can he really be dead? It just doesn't make sense. Will I really be able to enjoy singing Folsom Prison Blues at karaoke parties anymore? RIP JC.
I just listened to Johnny's last album (the one with hurt on it). Boy it sure seems like he was ready to go. Alot of songs about being lost and alone, alot of death. It is kind of haunting.
